"when we first arrived at Halo Homestay - we were concerned because it was not in a very nice area. We didn't realise how big Halong Bay city is. we were expecting sleepy little fishing village!! NOT!! there are 2 distinct areas 1. locals 2. tourists. This homestay is in the locals area. "Very nice, clean and well maintained facility. But the best part is the staff. From before we arrived, we were able to communicate and preplan transportation and activities on the island. Mr. Kien and the whole staff were great. I could tell it was very important to him that everything was perfect. The hotel is less than a 5 minute walk from the main restaurant area. I would definitely stay here again."
