Great location for dining out and bus routes and easy access to Valetta. We arrived late and received excellent email instructions about access in the room after the foyer was locked. However some details could have been better, like the opening windows in the room didn't fit the frames well and rattled in the wind at night (temporary fix was easy but should not have been necessary). Overall good value though. Beware that most of this part of Malta is currently a buiding site.

Great location and value for money
I stayed here for over a week and would highly recommend. Great location and value for money, and the staff are lovely and accommodating. Note if staying in the accessible room on the ground floor there is a curtain rather than a door for the bathroom.

Great location and super friendly staff. Even thought the hotel is fairly simple, it has all needed amenities to make your stay comfortable, is well located and have a very nice staff.

The room number six is very clean, wide, new. There is a kitchenette in the room, with fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee, tea, jam, mineral water and fresh bread/croissants daily. The area was great right near the waterfront. We needed to get in touch at dawn and we were promptly answered. 100% recommended.

Improvements suggested!
We encountered some issues related to our arrival due to the Hotels.com (possible) irresponsibility, not the guesthouse's. Hotels.com you have to contact the owner immediately after confirming the booking and not to create situations when guests arrive at the place and there is a surprise for them and owner about the present booking. Regarding the guesthouse, perhaps we got unlucky (or not), but the room we got was not in a proper condition to host guests - many spottable cleanliness issues, very heavy and humid air in the room and no door at the bathroom, but a curtain instead. The manager was helpful and cooperative enough so that we can terminate our stay in these unbearable conditions and look for another accommodation.

The area was great right near the waterfront and really great value for money - we had a spacious room and balcony. Thomas the manager made sure we were well taken care of and went above and beyond to help us! Fresh bread was a nice touch - this place made our stay so thank you so much (: Would definitely recommend!

Did not even stay at this property, they decided to tell me that my room had storm damage. No significant storms in Malta for 12 years it appears. They then relocated me to a property that was sub-standard into a room category that failed to match what I booked. Could not be more disappointed with this property.

Great to have a kitchenette in the room, with fridge, microwave, kettle, one-ring element for a saucepan, provisions like milk, coffee, tea, jam, mineral water and fresh bread daily. Air conditioning and TV also.Spacious Room 6 on 3rd floor, very good mattress. Disappointing that there are only one or two English speaking channels on TV (one is History Channel), though for visitors to the island wishing to explore and who have mobile broadband this may not be an issue. Excellent WiFi.

Firstly, the self-check in process was seamless. The room was thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. There were coffee, milk and fresh food waiting for us. Adrian was extremely helpful and provided us with everything we needed during the stay.

Nice guesthouse in an area with plenty of restaurants. Staff are not always physically present, but are always reachable by phone and WhatsApp and make a great effort to make you feel welcome and (proactively) help with everything you may need. The (5-minute) ferry to Valletta is a 10-minute walk away, or you can take a bus or taxi.

Great Location
A lovely room, has everything you need, clean and close to local amenities.Double glazing completely blocks out the noise in the lively neighbourhood so you can sleep in peace. The proprietor, Adrian, is very helpful, nothing is too much trouble, he offers tips on where to go and where to eat for the proper Maltese experience. I would recommend the Island Guesthouse to anyone visiting Malta

An excellent hotel choice in the heart of Gzira. The rooms were new, spacious and clean and have a balcony. Location is great, many shops and cafes nearby, a beautiful marina and easy access to public transport (Valetta is 10 mins by bus and St Julians also very close). If you drive there is plenty of free public parking space. Chris who manages the property and his staff were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed, making us feel very welcome and safe. Overall strongly recommended

This is a gem of a guesthouse. We stayed in room 5 which is lovely and full of light. There is a small balcony which gives you a side view of the harbour towards Valletta. Chris, the owner, went out of his way to provide everything we needed including vegan croissants for our breakfast. He and Teresa also provided almond milk which was great too. The bus stops to/from Valletta and the airport are a few steps away. A comfortable base where everything seems brand new from which to explore the island at a really fair price. I definitely recommend.

Very helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. Modern shower and bathroom. Excellent WiFi. The guesthouse is in a residential area a two minute walk from the seafront with numerous bars & restaurants. As it's in a busy area occasionally a bit of noise is heard, but not much.

Think the guesthouse was practically new. Our room was great. Everything was of high quality, towels, bed linen etc. Room was spacious. Breakfast area was lovely. Location was perfect. Near to the front, bus stop 3 minutes away so you could get everywhere you wanted to go using local transport. Including ferries to valetta and boat trips. Didn't realise that breakfast was included!! Every morning we had a fresh loaf of bread, couple of bread rolls and chocolate croissants. Milk, butter and jams and fresh juice and fruit all provided and replaced when necessary. Room cleaned every day. Really a great place to stay and would highly recommend. Would suggest the following: extra pillows, somewhere to dry the towels and some chairs for the balcony (tho we were here early in the season so perhaps these will be added).

Island Guesthouse is perfect for your accomodation right in the center of Il Gzira, and very near the harbour-boulevard (The Strand) The service is excellent and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was large, had air-condition, micro-oven, electric kettle and an unlimited supply of coffee and tea. Housekeeping every day. All in all a very pleasant stay and very, very good value for money. I would definitely recommend Island Guesthouse any day.

ゲストハウスの周辺は、レストランやカフェ、スーパーもあり、ボーディングパスの印刷もすぐ近くの文具店のような所でできます。バス停もすぐ近くで、遠い所でも一回乗り換えで行くことが出来ます。バスチケットは一回2€ですが、２時間以内ならば乗り換えても使用出来ます。周辺の環境は良いですが、マルタ特有の停電が何回かありました。お部屋は古いですが、3泊しましたが何の問題もありません。ただ、タオルやシーツなどの交換はリクエストしなければならないようでしたが、私の場合3泊でしたので必要ありませんでした。チェックインが遅めの人には、開錠コードをメールで送ってくれます。チェックアウトもキーボックスにキーを戻すだけでとても楽でした。

All’arrivo abbiamo trovato la camera non ancora rifatta, la signora delle pulizie credeva k arrivassimo alle 15 ma era stato comunicato esplicitamente l’arrivo alle 13:15, siamo arrivati alle 13:20.. il primo giorno a colazione mancavano latte e cereali pure espressamente previsti. L’ascensore non funzionava è stata aggiustata dopo 3 giorni dalla arrivo. Tali aspetti negativi sono stati superati nei giorni seguenti per cui nel complesso è stato un soggiorno positivo e consiglio la struttura per posizione, prezzo e l’arredamento della camera nuovo e funzionale anche se aggiungerei uno specchio lungo

Ottima posizione, a due passi dal lungomare e dalla fermata dell’autobus. Colazione (cornetto, pane e mele) servita appena fuori dalla camera alle 8 di mattina. Buon prezzo. Purtroppo ci è stata data la camera al piano terra attrezzata per persone con disabilità, rumorosa perché con la finestra affacciata alla strada e senza balcone.
