Hersha Hospitality Gulf of Mexico hotels

"This place has gotten progressively worse since I started spending nights there before early flights out of Tampa Int'l Airport. Used to be a nice place.going back to 2010 or so. Since then it has fallen to a "ghetto place." The room was dirty, About a 2 inch gap on bottom of room door. The mechanism to hold door shut was broken. No MICROWAVE in the room so I had to eat the remainder of my food cold. God forbid if I ever had an emergency at 3 to 3:30 a.m. as I tried to contact the front desk. I CALLED AT LEAST 4 times letting the phone ring at least 12-15 times. No answer.There "shuttle bus schedule" must have been created by Fred Flintstone. I don't know if this property is privately owned as from 2011 to 2016 I flew from Tampa to Burbank,CA at least 6-8 times per year. Stayed at this hotel each time and every 6 months or so I'd see all new people. Quite simply...before I would pay a DIME to stay at this "Ghetto Inn" I'd sleep in in a homeless shelter, OR IN THE STREETS! Never again. I won't stay at any Wyndham properties ever again. I plan to contact corporate headquarters and see id anyone there cares! Not likely. Now I have to go to all the online websites where you rate businesses and properties and share this review. Not very happy with Hotels.com either. But that is an entirely different story."

"This room faced a parking lot BUT it was close to the shore pool and that was a bonus. Be prepared for the daily amenity fee of $65 plus tax for each day of the stay, it adds up quickly."

"The room was clean and as expected. Hotel staff were polite and helpful. Check in and out were easy. They even gave us a voucher for two free drinks. Would definitely stay again. "

"My boyfriend and I had a short stay. Jeanna was super sweet during check in. The decor is really cute and peppy! The property is clean. Our King room smelt really nice and fresh. AC blew cold, everything was very clean. The towels were plush. The bed to our surprise was very comfy. We did use our own pillows; I can't comment on the comfort of the hotel pillows. TV worked great, signed right into our apps and the hotel did have channels available. Occasionally we heard a plane, the hotel is near the airport one should not expect to not hear one. You will hear the occasional door close, not by fault of the staff. It's a guest not being mindful or the door just getting away from you when coming and going. We did have a room with a balcony which was really nice to have, we like to have coffee in am in the fresh air. There was no coffee maker, we did bring our own. The bathroom, the toilet and shower set up was different. they are separate and private but still a little challenging with the glass sliding door. Cool idea though. We got thru it with no issue as there were only 2 of us. We did not eat at the hotel, i can't comment on the breakfast or restaurant. However, people did look comfortable and happy at the bar/lounge. We would stay at this hotel again. Thank you to Jeanna and all the other friendly staff that made our stay pleasant and stress free. "
