"We have stayed at the Sandman many times and like it. They have gone from many years ago's Continental breakfast, to no breakfast, to now having simple egg/cheese omelette, sausage patties, potatoes, plus waffle maker, fruit, bagels etc. The rooms were renovated several years ago. Our room had a bulb out on one side of the bed, the phone was blinking as if there were a message but there wasn't, and the phone had the wrong room number on it. Minor things that I reported at departure. We like the staff. Everyone is helpful, friendly and supportive."

"plumbing noises and staff working on watering property kept me up all night long. However the Restaurant next was fantastic, big Disconnect between spa snd hotel. to many children in pool and jacuzzi on weekend, this is an adults area. ilI would hive them another try as the front desk did try hard. If was obvious there was a lot of corporate by over going on. Just knowing a cemented path to my room from the rear would have saved me a ton of grief."

"Beautiful property and the river was amazing. We really enjoyed the setting and our time here overall. My biggest complaint, especially traveling as a family with two kids, was how difficult and expensive it was to simply get food while staying on property. The in-house restaurant doesnโt serve dinner certain days of the week, and on a weekday when it was open and we tried to eat there, it was completely booked. It was frustrating that there didnโt seem to be enough availability to accommodate the guests actually staying at the resort. The only option we were offered that evening was a chefโs special that was close to $200 per person, which obviously wasnโt a realistic option for a family of four. There also wasnโt a regular lunch option while we were there. The Bathhouse had a very limited selection, like salads, but nothing particularly family- or kid-friendly. We ended up having to leave the property every day to find food. There are places nearby, but when youโre staying at a resort like this, you donโt want to spend part of every day figuring out where youโre going to feed your family. I also found breakfast pretty overpriced for what you actually get. I understand having a higher-end restaurant on property, but I think the resort would benefit tremendously from also offering simple, reasonably priced breakfast, lunch and dinner options that donโt need to be a Michelin-style dining experience. But it is such a beautiful place and has so much going for it."
