Guatavita Hotels with Swimming Pool

"We booked a superior room specifically for the air conditioning, but unfortunately the room never cooled properly. We had experienced a similar issue during a previous stay but decided to give the hotel another chance because the food was good and the gym was adequate. Unfortunately, the issue persisted. We reported it the next morning, and although someone came to assist, it was not resolved. That evening, the temperature remained the same. We were eventually moved to another room late at night, which also had the same issue, and were then offered a different room at an additional charge. As a result, we were unable to sleep comfortably during our stay. We addressed this with staff multiple times, including at checkout, but no resolution was provided. Aside from the air conditioning issues and lack of resolution, the food was good and the gym was adequate, which we appreciated."

"NO POOL AT THIS PROPERTY Despite the Expedia listing noting a “Swimming Pool” - we were disappointed to learn they do not have one. They have a Whirlpool branded hot tub (listed as a separate amenity on the Expedia page). “Indoor Pool” was also listed under the Family Friendly heading of the Expedia listing. As most parents know, hot tubs are not appropriate for children, especially young ones. We chose the hotel because we thought they had a pool. When we travel, we spend part of our day playing in the pool. Kids love a swimming pool! In the hopes of disappointing another family expecting a swimming pool, I flagged to the property directly, Mariott Bonvoy and Expedia to encourage them to update their respective listings. Despite the misinformation, the property was excellent. The rooms spacious and clean, the gym was one of the best I’ve ever seen and the breakfast we paid extra for was excellent. A perfect way to start the day. A special should put to the Leidy, the Spa Manager who was great at addressing our concern. "
