"Our two-night stay at The Vine House at Quinta de São Luiz was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. With only 11 beautifully designed rooms, it feels peaceful, intimate, and incredibly special.
The rooms were spotless, modern, comfortable, and even smelled amazing. The bed and linens made for a wonderful night’s sleep, and waking up to breathtaking views of the Douro Valley was unforgettable.
The infinity pool is spectacular and surprisingly private, allowing us to fully relax while taking in the incredible scenery. Even with vineyard tours taking place nearby, the pool area remained quiet and secluded.
Dinner at the restaurant was exceptional, with delicious food and thoughtful attention to every detail. Our stay also included a tour and wine tasting at Kopke Port Wines, which was fantastic and added even more to the experience.
If you’re looking for a place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy some of the most beautiful views in Portugal, The Vine House is truly magical. It’s the kind of place where evenings on your private terrace, overlooking the Douro Valley under a blanket of stars, become memories you’ll cherish forever. We would return in a heartbeat."
