I would like to suggest to use a lighter bed blanket for the summer period.For It is too hot to use and too cold to expose. I believe the air conditioning may be too old it is unable to reach a lower temperature even on high fan all day

Generally the staff are courteous and helpful except concierge, they do not smile and not helpful. First time we asked about where to shop, she just verbally informed. The second time we asked another female staff gave us a list of specialist shops.

I really enjoyed my stay at China hotel. A definite highlight was the outdoor heated swimming pool and the health centre facilities. The room was very comfortable and well decorated. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help, even when there were language barriers (i.e. when I couldn't speak Chinese and they couldn't speak English). It was lovely having a bakery available inside the hotel and plenty of food options (local and Western) on its doorstep. I also loved visiting the park across the road - it was such an added bonus being able to walk there so quickly and easily. I would stay again and would recommend.

Great hotel for the experienced China traveler. The China Hotel will have everything you need for your home away from home. The long list of positives: Good breakfast and many food choices for lunch and dinner from at least 10 restaurants inside; Large clean rooms; Firm beds with white duvet covered comforters; Newer clean bathroom and shower; Amenities include free shampoo etc, iron, single use slippers, white robes, coffee, tea, boiling water pot, refrigerator, wireless phone charger, hair dryer, umbrella, in room safe and very quiet in room controlled heat/air conditioner. The rooms have solid doors and windows that do not open. The rooms are carpeted and quiet with no noise from neighbors. Neighborhood is safe with with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Taxis are available with a snap of the finger by the doorman. An underground Metro station is a few walking steps away. The short list of negatives are: For the inexperienced China traveler, culture shock may affect your stay. You must remember you are in China and not the country that you are from. Cantonese and Mandarin is spoken here and you are the dumb one for not being able to communicate. Also China is very crowded and this hotel will have lots of people too at times. If you use the laundry service be ready for unreasonably high prices. In summery the China Hotel is an excellent well managed clean hotel. My wife and I stayed 1 week and we enjoyed every minute of it.

And old but well maintained and clean 5 star hotel. Room was huge and the view to the inner garden was beautiful. Bathroom was huge and luxuriously decorated. We were very impressed with the wonderful buffet breakfast with so many choices of food and the best coffee. Will definitely stay against in the future.

My stay was excellent. The hotel's location was ideal, with convenient on-site restaurants like Burger King, Domino's, Starbucks, and more. Plus, there's a McDonald's just across the street. Getting a taxi was a breeze, as they're available right at the hotel's entrance. And there is also and metro station entrance right outside the hotel. The rooms were not only clean but also quite spacious. The standout aspect was the friendly and helpful staff. The concierge team assisted me with directions a few times, making my stay even more comfortable. I should note that I initially stayed on the executive floor, but there was a smell issue, possibly due to smoke or humidity, which caused my son some discomfort. However, the hotel quickly addressed the issue and provided me with another room on a different floor, which was perfect. My son loved it so much he didn't want to leave! 😁

Very good 5* hotel at a very fair rate
The Hotel is still in a good condition. I asked for a renovated room and I got one. The condition of the room was excellent. The breakfast has everything. It was very busy in the morning because of the canton fair, but still acceptable. Went to the gym and pool and health club. All very good.

Was greeted at check by Martin, incredible service by him, great room. He checked me in quick and easy. Hotel has amazing staff, wonderful breakfast and clean room. Location is prime , don’t bother looking any where else. I’ve stayed at all of them and this is the best. Thank you Martin.
