Independent Guadalcanal hotels

"Room not ready on arrival. Waited while others who tried to check in after me got there rooms prior to me at front desk. Resvervation was made in June 2025. Room was not properly cleaned. Dirty socks from prior guest hanging of bathroom shower hook. Slowest service ever in restaurant and 5 of 5 times my order was wrong. I would not recommend this hotel. Although hotels are limited on island ."

"Lets set the expectation right - it is a business hotel, not a resort. My partner and I are overall happy with the clean and spacious room and provisions. Breakfast is basic but adequate, and is delivered to the room. Value for money comes mainly from the location itself."

"My overall stay at Honiara Hotel was good and staff are very kind, however condition of property is dated with a few facilities requiring repair / renovation especially bathroom in the room. Food is ok but not worth the price."

"Room didn’t have running hot water. No in-room wifi Wild dog and cats lingering in and around the premises including outside rooms. Hotel foyer and general outlook of hotel is in a state of disrepair and upkeep. Not enough lighting in the rooms. Towels and bedsheet had stains. No in-room phone to call reception or outside line Hotel staff were courteous. "
