Everything you Need in the Heart of the Old City.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet. Their restaurant is also exceptional. Go ahead and spring the 15 CHF for breakfast. There is no place open earlier than 8:00 am and the price is actually very reasonable.

Hotel Seville was a dream hotel in Edelweiss room with a wooden canopy bed and a million dollar view! The food and service were excellent! Parking was scarce and bringing luggage through the cobblestone streets was difficult for us! We love everything about Gruyeres!

I recently stayed at Hôtel de Ville in Gruyères (***) and had a fantastic experience. This charming and quaint establishment perfectly complements the historic and picturesque setting of the village. I stayed in the Edelweiss room, which was spacious, impeccably clean, and extremely comfortable—a great retreat after a day of exploring. The attention to detail in the room’s decor and amenities made for a cozy yet refined stay. The restaurant is also a standout feature of the hotel. The food was excellent, easily one of the best dining options in the village. From traditional Swiss dishes to well-executed regional specialties, every meal was a delight. Given the quality of both the hotel and the restaurant, the pricing is reasonable, especially for Switzerland.

We enjoyed stay in this hotel. Its location offers great advantage, all tourists attractions are at walkable distance from here ( literally 2-5 mins walk for all important locations). Bust stop is also 10 mins walk, which further connects you with train station, overall connectivity of this hotel is good with rest of the places in Switzerland. Its good for family stay. Restaurant is also good. Breakfast was also good.

Packed our things and moved our room! Horrible!

The Hotel De Ville is beautiful and located in an absolutely prime location. Unfortunately it is mostly a restaurant with some rooms- we had to find a busy waitress to check us in. She got us our key and pointed us to our room. It was lovely! Very picturesque with a lovely view. We partially unpacked, changed clothes, and set off to explore Gruyeres and came back three hours later to find other guests coming out of our room!! After speaking with them (they were very friendly) we realized that there had been a mix up with the rooms. Someone from the hotel (without notifying us- they did have our phone number and email) went in our room, put our things in our suitcases, and moved all of our things to a different room without telling us. We went right down and found the same busy waitress who casually told us that there had been a mistake with the rooms and gave us a new key to the room where they had moved all of our belongings. It was a bit of a disaster and left us not feeling very safe or welcome for the rest of our stay. The rooms were nice enough, the location was gorgeous, but the staff member we dealt with was horrible and we still can’t believe they packed up our belongings and moved us to a different room without even trying to contact us. Worst hotel experience I have ever had. And they did nothing to try to make it right.
