"A wonderful place to stay. It was really a mini-cabin, with a kitchenette and a couch, plus a long bench on which to lay suitcases and stuff. Very clean and very well thought-out, with a Scando interior. Bath was ultra-modern. Quiet, bright, and with big windows and nice lighting. Best of all, we got to see the Northern Lights! "We got stuck in snow traveling up the road to our cottage, and it was very scary for us. The road should have been closed sooner than it was, but nevertheless our host helped and came to get us. He drove us from our stuck rental car to our cottage and then brought us back to the car the following morning and helped us dig our car out (literally shoveled our car out with us)!!!! "the man and women at the front desk were amazing. they went above and beyond for us. we were in a car accident (rear ended) on our first day in Iceland (about 15 minutes from the cottages) and were very stuck as we couldn’t drive the car or make phone calls. we got in contact with them and they not only picked us up but moved us into a room in the main part of the building so that we could be close to the front desk to use their phones to make many calls back and forth to our car rental company....

"Beautiful home, overlooking the ocean. Black sand beach w sea sounds to soothe the soul, and seals swimming. Owners made sure bedding and staples like coffee were available. Management company was responsive to email request. It’s an historic home, interesting to read about it. Convenient to all of the sightseeing we were doing in Snaefellas Peninsula. Wish we could have stayed longer, it was so beautiful and peaceful. Thank you!"

"After spending 10 days circling Iceland, this was by far our favorite place to stay. The apartment is both gorgeous and spacious, and the views are wonderful. Looking out from one side of the apartment you will see mountains and a huge glacier. From the other end you will see the ocean. When we were there, we could see seals basking on the rocks just offshore from the apartment. The apartment was extremely clean and especially comfortable. We will be back!"

"The caretaker was nice enough to offer us a pan and some salt for cooking although these stuff should have been available in the room anyway. There was no hair blower in bath room. The curtain on the windows couldn't even block the light and made it difficult to continue sleeping in the morning. The information given prior to arrival was wrong and it was embarrassing to knock the door of other guests when looking for caretaker. The good thing is that there is a playground just down the house...

"This was a surprising property for me. At first it looked more like a typical American Motel but WHOA was I surprised ! This was a beautiful establishment with kind and friendly staff, VERY comfortable accommodations , a fantastic cafe and restaurant, and a beautiful view. I was so thrilled to stay at this hotel! Very affordable as well. I loved it !"
