"Rooms are clean and big! Everyone that we talked to was helpful and nice. Entertainment and steak house as well as the Deli were awesome! Steak house accommodated my gluten free diet. The only very annoying thing that happened was that housekeeping personnel was cleaning in our floor before 9 a.m. with their radios blasting, talking and it was very loud! I was really hoping I could sleep in since check out was at 11 a.m, didn’t happen :("

"We may be more particular than most people. In our room (402), the door to the balcony needs repaired as is hard to open & the shower nozzle needs replaced. Cleaning of the room was just okay/not excellent. Pool area was beautiful & Doc’s was a nice amenity. We were particularly disappointed in the Summit Restaurant, which has excellent service but the food quality was lacking. Everything was heavily over-peppered. Overall Shanghai-La Resort is a beautiful facility in a gorgeous location. We just maybe expected a little higher standard in our room."
