The decor is some of the best we've ever seen for a backpackers' stay. Really great rooms, very clean & convenient bathrooms/showers. Kitchen was perfect!! Definitely recommend!

Good overnight stay
Stayed just one night, good clean and quiet hostel. Only issue We had was the room was so hot, I requested a fan but they didn’t have. Many places in NZ offer fans, this would be my suggestion.

This place is excellent. It's definitely one of the better backpackers I've stayed at anywhere in the world. It is spotlessly clean and tidy. We had two nights (January 1 & 2) here in the double private room (room 15) and we were impressed. The communal areas are well stocked and clean. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of utensils, crockery etc. The dining area is good too. There's an excellent lounge and seperate TV area for when the weather is poor (often in Greymouth). There's also a spa, washing lines and helpful, friendly staff. The bathrooms and shower area are kept clean. The whole place is decorated with a distinctly global feel in keeping with the place's name. Most is African - it's all very colorful and pleasant. If you're looking for a budget friendly accommodation option in Greymouth, this is a good option.

Lovely.
Lovely place, great owners, exceptional cat, comfy bedroom, tidy toilets & showers, nice kitchen, close to all Greymouth has to offer. Kayaks, bikes, hot tub: all excellent add-ons!

Proper stay in the area
Greymouth was a stopover for Franz Josef, we didn't expected much out of it. The backpackers is cool, despite the amount of people staying within, we didn't get any disturbance on the noise at all. Either the place soundproofing system is good enough or the occupants are all very considerate. The kitchen was packed with the most complete kitchen utensils I have ever seen in backpackers for a while. More importantly, everything is very well upkept and clean. We enjoyed the cooking session while we were there. The shared bathroom are very hygienic too. Thumbs up for the management for keeping the place a comfortable stay.

Super fun and cool Backpackers ! Nicely decorated with an interesting vibe. A really neat place for a night. Bathrooms very clean and equally nicely decorated. We almost never stay in backpackers, but would stay here again for sure.
