"We stayed in one of the small houses for two nights in April 2026. We had two beautiful days/nights. The radiant floors were a standout. The house faces west, which huge picture windows to the west and north. During the first night, we happened to catch a quick showing of northern lights. "We really enjoyed our stay here. Great views of Akureyri and the northern lights. The room was spotless. Staff were very helpful - we asked about wine and beer as the bar wasnt open in winter. They got us a bottle of wine and some beers which was great as it was my partners birthday. "

"Really appreciated first class laundry facility. Kitchen well equipped, lovely spacious modern apartment. Only problem was the dreadful bed - no proper mattress, just a kind of soft non-supporting topper. Both of us awoke with back pain. "

"This is an incredible place to stay. It was problem the best lodge we've ever been to. It has stunning views across the fjord which can be enjoyed from the hot tub. It's really well equipped and was always a great place to come back to at the end of the day. Thank you!"
