Joinery Hotel Pittsburgh, Curio Collection by Hilton
8/10 Good
"First the negative. No self park. No free drinking water. No luggage stand in rooms. No microwave. Beds uncomfortable--lumpy n soft top mattress over very firm base.
Positive: Friendly, helpful staff.Very clean and well maintained. 10 min walk to Incline. 15 min walk to downtown hub of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants."
"The Omni William Penn was absolutely old school elegant. The property was gorgeous and well cared for. There was a reasonably priced parking lot which we selected instead of valet parking. The location was wonderful with many great restaurants nearby. It was our first visit to Pittsburgh and the Omni William Penn was one of the many highlights of our trip. Treat yourself to memorable elegance!!!!"
"Computers were down when we checked in so a longer than normal wait. Room had a faint mold smell. Lots of construction in the area so the usually quick walk to the stadium was blocked. Valet was prompt. Would stay again."
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Pittsburgh Downtown
10/10 Excellent
"Booked this for the pool and central location. It was great to be inside swimming around, watching all the people coming & going from PPG arena, lol! The hotel is close to everything, a short walk (highly recommend The Speckled Egg in the Union Trust Building. Delicious brunch and coffee, wow!) or you can catch a bus to explore further out. Hotel is clean, nice room. Got an upgrade with living room, it was gigantic! So very nice to spread out. Fairly quiet for being downtown. Friendly staff. ++++ for the cookies!"
