I was extremely disappointed with my family’s recent experience at this hotel. After a long drive, my young son used the bathroom, unaware that the energy-efficient toilet required holding the flush button down. He flushed multiple times without realizing it wasn’t draining properly. When I entered the bathroom shortly after to check for towels, I discovered the toilet had overflowed and was leaking into the room.
I reported it immediately to the front desk. Initially, the attendant (Chasity) was apologetic and offered to move us once we vacated our things. However, when I returned later, her attitude shifted — she began chastising me, saying if she had known it was “our fault,” she wouldn’t have changed our room. I explained that I wasn’t aware of the issue at first and found it inappropriate for her to blame a child for something tied to poor toilet design.
I was also told the room would now be “unusable,” which makes her earlier suggestion that we remain in it even more frustrating. To top it off, when I requested bedding for the pull-out bed, I was told to check the new room myself and come back — instead of being met with even basic hospitality.
Overall, I felt disrespected and unwelcome. I do not recommend this hotel for families or anyone expecting thoughtful service.
