"This was a great overnight Inn. The staff was super nice and helpful. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Only down side was we weren't able to use the fire place after a chilly rain, but staff did get us a few more blankets."

"I can deal with mediocre-but I can’t deal with a smoke detector going off at 2am and not stopping for more than 20 minutes at a time. Absolutely horrendous night sleep."

"Lovely staff. The breakfast wasn’t good though. I read so many reviews that said it was great and the muffins were baked fresh. It was a plastic wrapped blueberry muffin, and a piece of lemon cake. Two clementines and two bananas, and 2 coffees that tasted burnt and was given 4 sugars and 4 creamers. Wasn’t too thrilled about the jacuzzi and didn’t use it. The jets weren’t the cleanest. Needs a lot of updates."

"The best thing about my room was the renovated tiny bathroom. It had nice marble and sink but the toilet seat was loose. And that was just the beginning of the poor state of things. The room was pretty clean but the door paint had been chipped and not repainted and the door handle was barely functional. I definitely used the deadbolt lock. "The room was decent but for over 200 a night I expected it to be a bit better. The shower and toilet were so loud when it was running you could hear all the noise in the room. the hotel said breakfast was included. There were apples, bread and waffles ONLY. The juice tasted like they added concentrate with no water. The only person that was decent was the shuttle driver- she was awesome. "The staff were very kind, however the property is in need of both cleaning and updates. Our shower had mold on the ceiling and the curtain liner, the jacuzzi tub needed to be cleaned, and the room definitely had a very strong odor. We were only able to get a smoking room and the scent was extremely evident, to the point where it affected sleep and made my clothes smell that I didn't even wear. I understand the appeal of a smoking room for some, but the small space made it hard to handle. The TV...

"Great place to stay and such a short walk to the beach"

"Amazing! Gorgeous! Clean & beautifully designed! Love the breakfast buffet & the complimentary wine & cheese hour. So grateful we were able to check in early because we had to leave earlier than planned due to the storm. Animals were a delightful surprise & view of ocean was breathtaking 😍❤️ We will be back!"

"The Inn was lovely. The room was small, but authentic and fine. The problem is the food service is very spotty. The restaurant has limited hours and days- no breakfast except on weekends. Also if you have a room on a Monday, most of the day and all night there is no one working at all- you are alone! And on Tuesday when we needed to check out, there was no one working. We had to leave the keys in an unlocked room. "

"Room was very clean and house was beautiful. GREAT location for going to downtown Newport/Mansions/Cliff walk/etc. Bed: mattress comfortable but wooden bed VERY squeaky. Loud squeaks woke you up every time you shifted position TV: could not get any local stations. Not a huge deal for us at all, but may be for others Electrical outlets: lamp on right-side of bed was not even plugged in bc there's no outlet. Understand that this is an older house, but having places to charge...
