"This stay at Blackthorn went above and beyond what I needed - some time and space for myself to write. "Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. "The room was lovely and spacious and the bathroom was really clean and a pleasure to use. Holy moly was the bed comfy?! And so big I lost my husband! The only downside I would say was that the water glasses were so very small, when I needed a drink I'd have to fill the glass up 3 times! And also, the tiny nescafe coffee sachets are never a joy, quite the opposite. Investing in some better coffee for the rooms would a huge plus! But the yorshire, absolute beauty! The staff were all so fabulous; helpful, charming, polite and a shining example of the hotel's overall quality. We had a fabulous stay and would absolutely consider staying again."
