"Lovely historic hotel with spacious, high ceilinged rooms. Rooms could use ceining fans so as to reduce the need for window air-conditioners. The porch was a wonderful place to sit and read. Nice location and very helpful staff. Loved the bed and appreciated the stepstool so i could actually get into it!"

"My first impression was that I made a very bad choice of hotel. Check-in process was fine and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful but the lobby was very hot. I was told later the AC in the common areas was out and had been for a long time. The room was great and the stay would have been a 5 star except for the aforementioned AC issue. The bar and restaurant were too hot to really sit and enjoy for any length of time. Again, the staff was great and attentive. "

"Caleb at the front desk was very personable and friendly on check in. He was very helpful with things to do in the area, restaurant info, etc. He was also the bartender that evening and was responsible and attentive and friendly with the few people relaxing at the bar. Tony Roma's (the restaurant in the hotel) was mediocre. The bartender was nice, but worried about everything other than tending bar.
