"I booked into the Presidential suite for 3 nights but stayed for 1 (23 June). Not even close to 5 star. The room door did not lock from the outside, the bathroom tap had a leak and when I tried to close the bathroom door it did not close fully, the TV remote from the room next door was controlling my TV so I could not relax and watch TV, the bed was very noisy and you could also clearly hear the conversations and TV from the room next door. "Our safari experience was truly unforgettable! Nestled within Kruger National Park, the lodge offered comfortable and clean cabins. The friendly staff went above and beyond to ensure each day was exceptional. A special shout-out to our guide, Andrew, whose expertise led us to see four out of the Big Five, along with many other animals in their natural habitat. Every morning and evening safari was a highlight, enhanced by thoughtful touches like coffee and snacks during the morning trips and wine and snacks in the evenings. Dining at the lodge was a delight, with gourmet meals served while we watched wildlife gather at the waterhole. This was a fantastic experience that I highly recommend!"

Buckler’s Africa Lodge Kruger Park

"We saw a special that was advertised and after making the booking were told that the special was no longer on. For what we eventually paid, it was a rip off.! The first nights dinner was at the Boma. We asked for steak that was medium rare and received a well done steak after waiting at least 30 minutes for the dancing to finish. The steak was ordered before the dancing but not brought to the table.! The next nights dinner , we were given an Ala-Carte menu with prices.! We did not know if this was included or not as the prices differed substantially. There was no communication. ! Will not recommend this to anyone. Sorry !"

"Kruger park was only about 20 minutes away by drive. All of the staff were wonderful. So friendly. Whatever you wanted, they would get for you. I couldn’t single out one staff member because they were all perfect. The suites are gorgeous and spotless with a wonderful view of the Sabe River. The food was excellent and so plentiful. I couldn’t think of a better place to stay to get to Kruger and experience the game drives. The drivers were excellent and it was easy to see their love for the animals and nature of South Africa. Highly recommend."

"I feel it was overpriced for what we got. Our room was booked for occupancy of 4, yet the set-up of cups, plates, etc. in the room, was for 2, as was the dressing gowns and the chairs on the patio. The service in the dining area was appalling - it took 20 mins to get a waiter to notice us and then equally long to get our drinks that were way overpriced and small in comparison to the same drink at other establishments. Getting luggage to our room was a mission with no assistance. The door handle was not sealed, and batteries were exposed on the handle outside the door. Signage around the property with directions is poor. Lighting in the room is not practical - especially having the bathroom and passage light in the bedroom connected - makes nighttime bathroom visits a problem for all. There's also no towel holder in the guest toilet. I would not be coming back any time soon, especially based on the price we paid and the disappointment we experienced."
