Nice hotel in good location

Hotel is conveniently located near Liseberg and the bus stop for airport. 5 minute walk into the city centre. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Reception staff very helpful.

Location was very good. Close to tram, 20 minute walk to central station, access to bikes. Several restaurant options around and good breakfast buffet to start your day. Rooms were quite small and hot but it was some of the hottest weather during that time. Easy to get fresh towels without issue but had to request housekeeping. Hot tub and sauna area very well kept.

Overall it’s a decent hotel. Just warning that WiFi didn’t work at all in our room on third floor. Receptionist at the front desk basically told me ‘it is what it is’. Luckily I could use my network data in Sweden and it was a holiday not a work trip.

The breakfast was amazing! The gym, sauna, hot tub were all great. They provided early check in which I appreciate and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. This may have just been a one off but the room bathroom counter had not been cleaned. There was still hair shaving from the previous occupant. Overall great experience.

Would not recommend

The only positive aspect of my stay was the view. Unfortunately, everything else fell far below expectations. There was no room service, no fridge, and not even a phone in the room to contact the front desk, which was very disappointing. My shower had mold, and both bedside tables were worn out and in poor condition. Another frustration was the bed setup—Scandic doesn’t seem to offer queen or king options. Even in my “premium” room, I had two double beds pushed together, which is impractical unless you’re traveling with someone else. On top of that, the sofa bed in my room was broken. With so many better hotel options in the surrounding area, I cannot recommend this property.

NÀrheten till Liseberg Àr bra.Frukosten var med ett nödrop ok, barnen hittade inte nÄnting som passade dem. Har varit bra om gÀsterna fÄtt en rabatt pÄ parkering, bara det hade höjt upp betyget. Rummet var helt ok, lite krÄnglande spolknapp, kvarglömd bomullsrondell frÄn förra gÀst men det fick vi bortstÀdat. Personalen var trevlig och hjÀlpsam, svara pÄ vÄra frÄgor pÄ ett professionellt sÀtt. BestÀllning av kvÀllsmÄltid Äts upp av barnen sÄ den var troligen bra.

Av de Scandic hotell vi bott pĂ„ i Göteborg Ă€r Opalen det överlĂ€gset bĂ€sta. FrĂ€sch och renoverat, smart med TVÅ toaletter i familjerummet. Fin frukostbuffĂ© och lite trĂ€ngsel vid frukost. Enkelt att parkera i nĂ€rheten. Enda som boningen var nöjda med var sĂ€ngarna som var vĂ€ldigt mjuka.
