"What a cool spot, lots of things to do around the property or just relax by the pool and sauna. This would be a fun spot for couples, great vibe and easy to be romantic, assuming you like to be spoiled and outdoors at the same time."

"Beautiful cottage resort our hockey team loved staying at. Having evening camp fires and afternoon fishing was perfect. I wish we had time for golf, the course looks amazing. My only complaint is that the resort is huge and they have little to no walking trails connecting the 2 areas together, it was faster to drive and that's not ideal. "

"Great host, Rose cares about her guests you can tell that right away. The room we stayed in was beautiful, the cleanest I think I’ve ever stayed in and it was fully stocked with soaps, coffee & even makeup wipes for my wife. Rose accommodated dietary restrictions for our breakfast no problem. The perfect place to stay for couples visiting Port Hope and looking for something a bit more special than a hotel. Summertime would be even better. "

"We arrived later in the evening and when we pulled the sheets back, there was hair and a small bug. We immediately went to the front desk and asked for another room - we were told they were sold out, even though Expedia said they had availability. THEN we said fine can we just get another set of sheets - THEY SAID NO, they didn’t have any !!! We had not choice but to deal with the nastiness. We slept on top of sheets after killing the bug ourself. Our kids swim I. The pool, which the bottom was...

"The apartment is very clean and comfortable. The balcony overlooking the back gardens is a big plus. Margaret is very accessible and helpful. Her garden shop is a lovely place to browse. This is our third stay and we will most likely return if visiting in the area."

"The breakfast was lack luster, only very few pastries, cereal and bread (but no plain bread, all had seeds and my kids wouldn't eat them). Our room had sooo many tiny ants crawling all over my (empty) coolers. When I asked the front desk for assistance with it they gave me an insect spray to spray around the room which killed some ants, but then I had ant caucuses in the room (that housekeeping did not clean up the next day). The beds were basically fold away beds so were not very comfortable....
