"The bed was very comfortable and bathroom toiletries were exquisite (because of these things I gave an extra star). The room was pleasant, but sparsely furnished. Wish we had a chair to sit in. "Myself and my friends and family have stayed at the Wine Country Inn on multiple trips to Fredericksburg. We’ve always had a great experience. However, this stay did not go well. When we were preparing to check out, three men knocked on our door, ten minutes before checkout. They did not announce themselves as housekeeping and there was no cleaning cart in the hall. "Convenient location and reasonable price. Room was fairly basic but upon checkin I had have house cleaning come to the room which they did promptly. It was to clean up 20-50 dead flies and a few dead roaches and crickets on the floor! I guess they used an insect bomb on the room but didn’t come back after it was done to clean up the aftermath. .There was no residual odor from the insect treatment so have no idea when the treatment was done!!"
