Lovely apartment. Could have done with more dishwasher powder and washing liquid as only had one sachet of each for a 7 night stay. Beach towels wld have been good and fresh towels on day 3/4.

On arrival the apartment was not ready, after a long wait it was handed over at 3.07 pm instead of 2 pm. The apartment was not cleaned properly, the dinning floor area was not mopped ( had to call the cleaner immediately after the handover to get it cleaned), the toilet floor was not mopped as well, laundry dryer filter was not cleaned. Also there was no smart tv to enjoy entertainments, after a while we noticed dirt on our feet from the carpet though it was looking visibly clean. They did not provide any tissue box in the apartment. Only positivity was the ocean view from the apartment. Not worthy for the price you pay. Service is terrible.

Thank you again for your perceived patience on the day Naymul. As explained on your arrival due to unavoidable extreme circumstances we unexpectedly found ourselves with no housekeeping team on that particular day. This would be a nightmare situation on any day, but this was hugely exacerbated by the fact that it was in the middle of the busy summer holiday period. It was explained to you honestly that existing staff had been redeployed to assist to avoid us having to cancel all bookings. I believe the building manager attended and dealt with the problems with your apartment immediately as they were reported. It was out of our control and our staff went above and beyond on that day to make sure that your holiday could go ahead rather than having to be cancelled.I sincerely apologise again for the fact that you were an hour late into your room. I fully understand your disappointment however, under the circumstances this was nothing short of a miracle. We didn't get it 100% right on this occasion, but I applaud the team for what we did achieve.Other points to note, all apartments have smart TV's and the dining room is carpeted.

This hotel was great. Lovely amenities, great location. Room was clean and presentable, air conditioned and ceiling fans made for a nice cool room. Only downfalls were a few of the receptionists. Very rude and uninviting to hotel guests. Also, some of the older permanent residents were quite rude to my young children trying to enjoy the pool. It felt very much there was an “us and them” type division between hotel guests and permanent residents.

I booked an apartment for a training I was attending on the Gold Coast (I live in Brisbane) . I ended up not staying even 1 night . I arrived at 6pm the first day. Never been to this place before . There was a front and back reception area which was closed. I had to speak to someone on an intercom that only lasted a couple mins then cuts out . Not good customer service . Couldn’t open my room door after instructions from reception. (On the phone) I had to talk to the same person via the intercom so took my luggage to do so & a carton of water I left at the door . I was gone less than 10min & came back to find the water taken . I felt frustrated & unsafe as a woman on my own . I complained but was gaslit . I will never return

This review is very unfair. We welcome 100's of guests to The Grand Apartments every week, many of whom check in outside of office hours using the very simple self check-in procedure. As previously advised I did review the CCTV footage in an attempt to establish what happened to your carton of water and it was found that you exited the lift on the wrong floor when it stopped to pick up more guests. The apartment that you were attempting to unlock was on the ninth floor, your accommodation was on the 6th floor. Your water was left outside the door of 903 which is why you were unable to find it when you returned to 603 WITH our building manager IN PERSON for assistance unlocking the door. Informing you of the unfortunate error which you made wasn't gaslighting, it was an explanation following your request that we investigate to put your mind at ease that you weren't a victim of crime,

We had a lovely time in the Penthouse> It was spacious and well furnished, although showing its age. The queen beds were comfortable but my adult children found the single beds quite hard. We have rebooked for next year.

Wifi access is poor in rooms and should be better. Took 2 days to get a 2nd key due to a previous guest losing it which was a huge inconvenience. The property is in a good location. Staff are friendly.

Property is located at beach front which is good and convenient parking space. Cleanliness extremely poor Carpet was stained , rug stained It wasn’t a service apartment , not enough towel , shampoo or soap No cot for the baby was provided Limited availability of reception staff on Saturday and no staff on Sunday. Did not worth the value for our money . Will never go back there again

Thank you for your feedback. Our reception hours are clearly stated. We supply a starter pack of soap etc and then it is up to you to supply the rest which is also clearly stated. We supply a towel for each person. If you require more supplies, we always have them at reception. Apartments are serviced weekly. If you stay less than a week, no service is supplied unless requested. All rooms are thoroughly cleaned before arrival. If you let us know at the time of stay, we could have helped you or even moved you to another apartment.

Stayed a week. The room was newly renovated and nicely decorated. Stayed in the 3rd floor and had water views over the pool. The pool was heated and always enjoyable to swim in day or night. The room had everything we needed for our stay. Close to the theme parks and restaurants were all walkable with many choices. I would absolutely stay here again.

All the convenience store very close to this property like coles woolworths and Australia Fair shopping centre. Close to surfer paradise city and close to all kids activities like sea world. My family enjoyed during my stay in grand appartment.

Unfortunately hotel.com had their price in US dollars and was very misleading, so the price was alot higher when I was charged. Bed was uncomfortable and there was mould in the shower. Service upon check in was good but no mention that price was in US dollars.

Love this place
Awesome location and absolutely beautiful apartment. Only let down was there was only one little shampoo and conditioner for 5 people for 5 nights. Shops close by to grab some easily though.

This apartment was filthy and cold, you weren’t allowed to adjust settings or face a $100 fine. Only one sheet on the bed and 1 blanket in cupboard. Pool closed the whole 10 days and we had no prior knowledge of this even though school holidays. No tissues or facewashers or bin bags. Staff changed bedding after 5 days and didn’t even empty bins or give extra toiletries etc. Very questionable marks in the bed skirt which was disgusting. Also very loud in the 12 floor as windows didn’t shut properly and were filled with cupboard. There were ongoing maintenance issues our whole stay and it was a joke, I did reach out to this place via email twice before writing this review asking for an explanation but both emails were ignored. This is the first review I have ever written and it’s just to warn people about the hygiene issues at this place. Great location but that is all this accommodation has to offer. I am from Tasmania and I slept terrible due to the cold. Perhaps you could of avoided this review if you had of cared to respond, pictures shown of rooms that are updated and nothing like what we paid for. Very poor form,

Hi Sarah, We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. We did not receive any emails or phone calls from you for your entire stay, even on checkout. We always have extra blankets if required. We have full time maintenance and cleaning staff available if you have any issues. Your room was checked thoroughly before your arrival. The pool shut down was unforseen and was an emergency so no notice was able to be given. We start you off with some supplies, it is then up to you to supply after that as they are self contained apartments - not hotel rooms. If you would have called us during your stay, most of your complaints could have been avoided. We cannot help you after your stay. We have steps in place for cleaning for covid as all hotels currently do.

The Grand Apartments provided everything we needed for a stay away from home. The unit we were allocated was clean and comfortable and really appreciated the secure parking that this establishment provided. The additional dining options attached to this facility were great and convenient.

The apartment is sold as a two bedroom but it is really a one bedroom, the other room has broken louvre doors separating it from the kitchen area and were not floor to ceiling so no sound barrier, no wall just this divider. No wardrobe in so called second bedroom. Marks on all surfaces, cheap broken fittings, louvre doors on balcony did not work, outdoor sofa was no worn we did not want to sit on it. Overall a very disappointing experience for the money spent for only two nights. It is definitely not a Luxury four star establishment. Pool and spa were nice but only allowed two people in spa and gym at one time! Overall disappointing.

We got the incorrect room that was advertised! When we arrived the room was dirty! I informed staff and they had someone come and re clean. No cleaning equipment in the apartment, only 1 dish cloth, the balcony was covered in black mould!! Furniture outside was covered in black mould and all the outside shutters! The location is great but the room was very very disappointing! Advertised 50” tv but it was only tiny, only one air conditioner!

Our advertisements are by room type therefore appearance differs between rooms in that room type. All apartments are equipped with vacuum cleaner, mop and bucket, broom and a starter pack for the kitchen and laundry. As a self contained apartment, it is expected that guests will make their own arrangements stocking the apartment to suit their particular needs. In addition to the large split system air conditioner, fans are also provided for the comfort of guests. The tv in that particular apartment is not tiny. We do not advertise the size of each tv. We have inspected the balcony and there is no mould present. We do agree that the external shutters do attract dust and dirt. It is regrettable that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Nonetheless we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with detailed feedback.
