Loved the convenience of parking in front, great bed, excellent shower water pressure and tea making facility. Plus cabin was in great condition with no floor noise at all and felt safe at all times.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Spa and Fire place were perfect for a romantic winter get away. Reasonably priced compared to others. Would stay again.

The setting was lovely but after reading everyone’s reviews I was worried about what condition we would find our room. It was reasonably clean. Cold water tap in bathroom didn’t turn on. It definitely needs an up grade as there were loose tiles in the bathroom.

The smoke alarm was faulty battery and was going off all night, there emergency number was uncontactable. No hot water. No mountain view like the room advertised. False advertising. Dirty bathroom and balcony. I left it cleaner than I entered it. No contact or staff available.

The Pharaoh Lodge is awesome, well themed throughout. Really nice grounds and the restaurant is great. Will definitely return.

The rooms are really run down, not really clean and have living and dead cockroaches. The bed and the pillows are absolutely horrible feels like your sleeping on concrete. Wouldn’t stay here ever again.

Beautiful setting with a bush outlook. We loved the spa and fireplace. Beautiful spot for snuggling in for the night. The gardens and on-site restaurant were fabulous to explore. Beautifully lit at night time too.

Hi Toia, We have a paid cleaning service that comes in so to say that blankets and cleaning weren't done just isn't true. I know you had some difficulty with our phone lines due to a Telstra fault but we were on site when you checked in and had communicated with your via Facebook. Was there any particular reason you did not come and see us so we could fix these issues?

The place is amazing but needs a little bit of TLC. We booked for three people but only have a double bed and no linen for the sofa bed. Towels also were for two and one bar of soap for three people. The fire place worked a treat and there was enough timber. Never saw a human being and when we tried to contact the managers went to a message bank.

Romance in the the Hinterlands.
We were just having a few days away, just to relax and unwind and possibly a little romance, as my wife's birthday gift. She adored the spa bath with a view, the luxurious king size bed, it wasn't self contained but it was only a few nights. The grounds are quite tranquil and it's set up as a venue for weddings and functions. Overall, we loved our stay very much. I would highly recommend this place as a stop to explore an area that has so much beauty to offer. We walked one night to a little Mexican place that was 350m from our cottage and the food was off this planet delicious. You won't regret staying here..

- There were no exhaust fans at all and where the spa was (which is in the main bedroom itself, so around bedding/cushions) had enclosed windows (unable to be opened) and did not even have a towel rack for the wet towels except for in the main bathroom, as a result everything was damp and mouldy (and the place even smelt mouldy) - The TV is way too high up and was actually straining on the neck to watch - The fireplace advertised was non-existent - Upon arrival, staff were pre-occupied with a wedding being held there and as a result I felt a lack of customer service - I feel like I should have been notified a wedding was happening at the venue prior to arrival as it actually interfered with my arrival and stay (turn up at check in time to be held up in the parking lot as there is a bridal party standing in the middle of it and people carrying ice into the venue, there was a lack of car spaces and I was unable to enjoy my first afternoon/night there as the wedding ceremony and reception was extremely loud and distracting - to the point I could hear the majority of the wedding reception over my headphones) All up very disappointed and will not be recommending to anyone else

Great Getaway
It was an amazing spot and amazing lodge I stayed in. A few things, with amount paid for room I would expect milk to go with the tea, coffee provided. The kitchen was great but no tea towel so we had to use hand towel. Small rubbish bin and could not find anywhere to put rubbish when we left so left in in room.

I booked Ecostudio Fellini during the Kokoda Challenge as a base for our support crew to rest in between checkpoints. And boy did it deliver! We had the Rose Lodge which featured a beautiful spa bath overlooking the rainforest outside, fireplace, a comfy four-post bed and a fold out bed, a separate bathroom to the bath area, a deck and a small kitchen. It was a quiet spot and had a really lovely outlook, and wasn't very far from most things you'd need (food, supermarket etc all about a five minute drive away).

Great conception for the room but ................
Room needs update and an absolutley thorough clean especially the drawers in the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Air conditioner too old to cope with hot days.We couldn't turn on the overhead fan ourselves because the switch had no knob on it and we had to call the maintenance guy to come to turn it on for us. Thick mold bottom corner of shower.Spiders in spa, shower and beside shower. Spiderwebs on top of air conditioner. Some power points and light switches broken. Coffee cup chipped (unhealthy). No instructions for operation of tv (every tv is different). TV extremely small so we had to bring lounge chair forward to be able to see it well (unable to receive any normal tv channels). Some dvds left to watch however they were so old and scratched that they kept stopping (very frustrating). Hole in cushion on side of lounge with feathers escaping. Two oil bottles with reeds on spa but no oil in them. Refrigerator needed defrosting (looks as if it hasn't been done for about a year or more and chocked with ice with the result that it was not working properly and we had to purchase ice for two days to keep our drinks cold).

The place is run down. Spider webs everywhere. There seems to be a reception but nobody there. Hard to contact before we came down also. Note on the reception door to “welcome us”. Left keys in the little box at the reception door, guessing that’s how we were to check out. Spa pool was great. Bed was comfortable but everything else felt old and out dated. The bush surrounding the Ecostudios is beautiful. They do weddings and I’d definitely get married there but really unsure about staying again. I do realise we were in the bush but I spent half the time chasing giant huntsmans around the place. It was definitely an experience haha. Thanks to who ever runs this place for the get away, maybe one day we might return for another round with the spiders!

This place is beautiful. In the forrest away from the hustle and bustle of the gold coast but close enough to go in for a shop. We stayed in the Karringal Lodge which is an amazing studio room with a big spa over looking the bush. We will be back!!!

Very dated venue. Lots of holes in the walls and the pyramid has a huge glass window that let glass in at 4:15am in the morning :(. Wouldn't stay again.

Rose Lodge
We stayed in Rose Lodge for one night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautifully decorated and surrounded by trees with an ornamental lake to the side. The spa by the window was great with view of the trees and the balcony was lovely for enjoying breakfast accompanied by the sounds of the birds.

Stunning location and wonderful view
The 3 bedroom chalet we stayed was decorated well and the main bedroom luxurious. Unfortunately for a 3 bedroom chalet it lacked necessaries in the kitchenette such as basic cooking equipment and utensils. It would have been nice to know so we could have packed accordingly. In my opinion our accommodation would not have been suitable for an extended stay or for families. There was no staff at the accommodation, which was fine, the lady on the phone was lovely. We arrived in the dark so a map of where our accommodation actually was would have been most helpful.

Great place for a little down time
Stayed here for a night away just for a short break from the hustle and bustle where you can really turn off. Stayed in Kurringal and it was excellent. Drinks on the deck overlooking the bush and lake, nice warm fire, hot spa. Room was very well kept and staff are very welcoming. Bubbly on the doorstep in the afternoon was a really nice touch. Thank you so much for a superb weekend.
