The view was amazing and the apartment was also to a high standard. Access was easy and the allocated basement parking made life very easy. Although we only used it a few times, the pools were so clean and very nice to use. My only negative point is that there was a spare roll of carpet in one of the wardrobes and there was also a drawer missing but these were minor points compared to the apartment overall.

Spacious apartment with fantastic ocean view
First impressions were a little daunting as two floors were undergoing renovation, causing noticeable noise and odour, but once we settled in we were completely happy with our apartment.

There were building works going on at the time of my stay which I was not notified about. So drilling and hammering throughout the day during the week days. Had it not been for this I would have rated my stay highly but it had a huge impact. Staff were friendly, location great, good sized apartment.

We only stayed Friday night till Monday morning. Definitely do not stay Mon to Friday as the renovation noise (jackhammers) is unbearable. We had a lovely stay then Monday 8am you had to go out. Whole building was affected by noise. No chance anyone could rest or sleep or relax in apt. Aside from that I imagine price would double per night when renovations complete. Lovely spot.

Good location, great sea views. Good indoor pool, outside pool was too cold to swim. Flat had all the commodities like washing machine appreciated for families. But our flat needed a soft refurbishment. Also Quilts would be appreciated for winter. Noisy because of busy highway at the back of property. Property would need a ramp for suitcases and pushchair.

Whilst the apartment itself was a bit tired, it had everything you needed for a great family holiday and a fully functioning kitchen which made making meals easy. The location is fantastic with the beach directly across the road, restaurants a short walk away and great parking for when you do day trips elsewhere.

The room was not good. The carpet was filthy and crusty on touch of the foot. The whole place needed a dust, dust hanging from the pictures above the bed and walls. We moved the ottoman in the lounged room and the carpet so was dirty and food underneath. Our room clearly used to be a 2 bedroom, and has had a wall knocked down and made a larger main bedroom. The orientation of the bed faced the wall not the ocean. The couch also faced the wall not the ocean. Could not watch tv and look out to ocean at same time. Dining room and lounge needed to be swaped around. Couch was too far away from TV which made the remote difficult to work. No TV in bedroom. Neighbours were smoking pot all weekend which seeped into our apartment.

Great location as walking distance to main shops, restaurants and beach. Stunning view from 8th floor and beautiful to wake up to. There was construction works happening in the upper levels of the building which meant some disruption. Some amenities weren’t working or serviced like the spa and steam room.

The view was amazing but everything else about our apartment was extremely disappointing, including: *The noise from the renovation was terrible and we couldn't wait to get out of our apartment each morning before we got a headache from the demolition of tiles, which seemed to be occurring directly above our heads. I spoke to the receptionist who indicated that the renovation was noted on the booking website. I checked the booking website and there is a note right at the very bottom of the site under Policies. It should have been much more prominent given the noise and access impact of the renovations. *The apartment was extremely dirty and run down (I've even got photos of tiles falling off the wall, piles of dirt in the corners, marks all over the walls, holes in the sheets, difficulty opening and closing cupboard doors etc). *The main air conditioning unit sounded like it was about to 'take off' and you could hardly hear the TV above the noise of the unit. I've travelled the world and even stayed in many Backpacker Hostels that were of a much higher standard than this apartment. I've never left a bad review but this apartment really deflated our family holiday. I would definitely NOT recommend staying at 2nd Avenue Beachside Apartments.

The property itself is quit aged but you can move past that very quickly when you get to wake up to that view everyday. The staff are lovely and my kids loved that there was a PS3 with games in the room!! I would recommend staying.

Nice apartment, needs new furniture.
Location was ideal, view spectacular and the building with all its amenities were great. 2 bed executive, 21c was spacious comfortable and well equipped. The furniture in the living area and balcony was very poor. All very old and worn, sofa and chairs were what you expect in a student flat, not a upmarket Gold Coast apartment. Outdoor furniture was plastic junk from the 80s, only 2 seats for a apartment for 4 people. Cleanliness was fine on the surface, but in need of a good deep clean, sills, window frames etc. Update the furniture and lighting fixtures to the 21st century and the place would be brilliant.

A very good morning Peter, we do thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We do take these issues very seriously and maintain our pest control systems to ensure the property is not adversely affected by pests. In the days prior to your experience, we did have the building pest control through to spray internally on all floors. The pest control measures do not kill the cockroaches straight away as much as we would like it to. As we do live in a tropical part of the world the eradication of all cockroaches in the local environment is not possible and as they do have the ability to fly through open windows and doors that may be left open by guests. It is a continual effort required to keep them out of the building. We are always vigilant to act on reports of pests and do not take it lightly. Once again we thank you for your comment and hope that we are able to welcome you back to 2nd Avenue Apartments in the future

2nd Ave apartments never disappoint; awesome proximity to beach and all the shops/restaurants - everything within easy walking distance. Although the building is quite old, the pools, common areas and gardens are all well maintained and the staff onsite are always very pleasant and accommodating regards any requests. This was our 3rd stay and we can’t wait to come back!

Lovely staff, great location and burleigh beach is the absolute best!! The property itself though seemed worn out, including the facilities which made it a little disappointing. The apartment was really poorly cleaned, floors were sticky, all the kitchen appliances and utensils were so dirty and stained. Linen was ok. Overall, it is still a convenient location but not the most comfortable place to stay if your looking for a relaxing vacation

Great Stay
We enjoyed our stay at 2nd Avenue Beachside Apartments. 2nd Avenue Beachside Apartments is walking distance away from lots of nice restaurants. The Indoor Pool and Spa Facilities were really nice and were a really good temperature.
