The doorknob in the bathroom fell off when I closed the door, and I was locked inside for more than an hour. I was screaming and banging for help. I tried to escape but couldn't. I had scratches on my hand from trying to get out. Eventually, the front desk came to investigate the noise, and they called the police. The police had to kick in my room door and kick in the bathroom door to free me. No one called me the next day to see if I was okay, and I asked to speak with the manager about the charges, but she didn't return my call. When I checked out, I was able to speak with the manager, and I'm asking for something in writing saying I won't be liable for the damages, and I would like compensation. She said I should receive an email from her or the company later that day. The police said I can request their body cam footage if I wish to pursue a claim.
