I wanted to book at hotel Colorado because it seemed like this luxurious and historic hotel. It is definitely historic, but there is nothing luxurious about it. It is not worth the price at all. As others have stated you can hear the conversations, “activities” and footsteps of people in rooms next to you, above you and constantly hear the talking in the hallways. You hear doors opening and closing all the time. Then, finally when we got to sleep, the room alarm clock went off at 6AM (valentines day morning). Then when we got back sleep to sleep, the fire alarm went off at 9AM and we began getting ready to evacuate our room. We got up shortly after that to discover the coffee shop was closed for the day.
What a let down this stay was.
The amount of noise that night and the following morning was just as bad minus the alarms. I don’t know how anyone sleeps in that hotel. They must be getting rooms away from anyone else somehow. We are aware there was a wedding on Valentine’s Day night, but our room was not near that area thankfully. It would have been appreciated to have the hotel acknowledge, and apologize for the fire alarm going off valentines morning and possibly offer something to make it right especially given the romantic holiday.
