"I’m really disappointed to write this because this used to be my favourite place. For the past 6 years, I’ve stayed here twice a year and always looked forward to it. Unfortunately, my last visit and this recent stay have shown a clear decline.I paid over $1000 for 3 nights, and honestly, it was not worth it anymore. The room was smelly, noisy, and poorly maintained. Simple things like the TV remote not even having batteries show a lack of attention to detail. What’s most frustrating is that there have been no upgrades at all—the rooms feel exactly the same as they did 5 years ago, if not worse. Rotorua has always been my getaway to relax, but sadly this hotel no longer provides that experience. It’s disappointing to see such a drop in standards. I won’t be staying here again and will definitely be looking for a better option next time. "

"Very old establishment. Needs to be renovated. Smelled in the room like sulfur. The maytress needs to be replaced. The TV did not work. Lightbulb was out for the reading lamp. The lock on the door was not very secure. Good enough for one night stay but would never go back."
