"Rooms were just okay"

"For Bullfrog this is my preferred hotel. New premium bedding and super comfortable mattresses means a better night's sleep for me. The alternative hotel up the road is outside the park and requires a boat inspection if you plan on taking your vessel with you. Meanwhile, you can just roll from the ramp to Defiance in under 3 minutes and charge your trolling battery from the outlets located in the parking lot. The dining room offers great views of Bullfrog Bay and features a deck for sunset...

"The rooms were clean and nice, lacking in any decoration but pretty sure that was because they are switching owners/management companies. Their market was basically empty and it just felt like an incomplete building (again probably because of the switch to Marriot). The pool was kind of gross and had a green tint to it, felt gross as well, with no towels available, but they were busy even at 9pm. The breakfast was ok, enough to get us through until lunch, but the potatoes were bland, the area...

"When we arrived at the Garner we were assigned a room and when we entered that room we found that the toilet was never cleaned. There were feces splattered on the inside of the bowl and urine all along the backside of the seat. We called the front desk (that employee was kind and helpful) and she assigned us to another room. We entered that next room and found the toilet to be in a similar state minus the feces. This time I cleaned the toilet myself rather than moving again. I requested a call...

"This hotel is the nicest place to stay in Escalante, there isn't much to the city. Rooms are nice and spacious and clean. Highly recommend eating at Escalante Outfitters and Burr Trail Grill for lunch or dinner. The hotel is advertised as having a restaurant onsite serving American cuisine. The restaurant had not opened yet when we checked in due to being behind schedule. The hot tub looked like it needed some love and a good cleaning, but the pool looked nice and clean!"

"The hotel is shabby. The blackout shade was broken on one side and just hanging down and the legs of the vanity in the bathroom needed to be painted or refinished. The framed pictures in the bathroom had water stains on the pictures. The lampshade of the light on the night table was damaged and needed to be replaced. I will say that the bedding was clean. But otherwise the room looked shabby. Initially we were given an adjoining room which I did not request and immediately had changed. And...
