Honeymoon
Stayed there for 2 nights on our honeymoon. Villa was lovely, only feedback would be the fridge needed a proper clean. Also lost the sun in the Villa and pool early afternoon (June) but otherwise was great. Location was about 35-40 min walk from the harbour and busy bars which meant it was quiet but accessible. Good snorkelling and location on beach was great with perfect position for sunset Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing!

I stayed at this property for honeymoon. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Property is located on the quiet part of the island. They have a private beach to relax at any time. Very clean and spacious rooms. They provide free snorkeling and kayaking equipment, which is a plus as the resort is located on the beach full of beautiful corals and turtles.

Relaxing paradise
Nice relaxing place to stay. We booked 2 rooms villa, so we had our private swimming pool, so good to hang in privately with friends! The hotel is just in front of beach, good for sun tun and snorkeling (free equipment as well, such as canoeing). There are restaurant for nice breakfast and meal in the hotel! And rent a bike in the hotel you can use for all day long to ciclying around the island! So beautiful place. Definetly we will come back again!

Very quiet and cozy location on the North of the island, not your typical “resort” feeling. The style and setup of the rooms were great and offered really cool outdoor showers. Staff were all super friendly and very helpful. Great place to relax and break away from crowds, yet only a 15 min cycle to get to other beach bars and resturant. Definitely a must to stay here.

A nice quiet location in the north but still plenty nearby. A lovely breakfast is included, staff are very friendly and attentive, facilities great. Not sure what more you could need. Will be back I hope!

Wilson’s is the most clean and lovely resort on the island. Staff were attentive and the rooms large, spotless and truly live up to the pictures. Breakfast was insanely good. Would not consider anywhere else if I’m honest as when we actually viewed many of the other upper marker resorts on the island they were quite run down. Recommend. Also right on beech on the white and prettiest part of Gili T.

We travelled all over Bali and Lombok and this was our favorite place. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we felt as if we were family. The food in their restaurant is delicious as are their drinks. The snorkeling right in front of the property is amazing! We miss having our breakfast on the beach every morning! We will be back!

Property is in a great location for snorkelling to see turtles. The northern part of the island is quieter and More chip than the harbour area. The restaurant was good and reasonably priced for the location.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay at Wilson's Retreat! You could not ask for a better location. We saw a good portion of the island and felt that Wilson's Retreat was hands down the best spot. Great food at the hotel and nearby. Great snorkeling directly off the hotel's beach as well as close by. The staff were so friendly and caring. HIGHLY recommend the private pool villas! Well worth the extra cost. Seriously could not be more happy with our stay.

Great for a short break
It’s the little things that make the difference and Wilson’s Retreat has plenty to offer. We loved the fact that free drinking water was offered in abundance reducing the need for plastic bottles. The location is superb for snorkelling, so much to see just on the doorstep. So while we had a fantastic mini break of 4 nights we are not giving full points as we found the food good but not great, the service very friendly, but not exceptional. The 2 bedroom villa with private pool was fantastic, but let down by swimming pool water with some water quality issues and slightly tired outside furniture. All in all a lovely place and we would most likely come back to the same place if we visit Gili Trawangan again.

Positives : It's around 2 kms from main harbor area, so you get really exclusive & calm beach front experience. House reef is great for snorkeling if you go around 100 mtrs inside, its quite sallow & safe. Great beach and dining on the beach is super experience. Staff is great and very helpful. Room is big & well appointed, landscaping is pleasing. Food is nice. Only thing you sjall note is that it's bit away from the harbor area and commuting is not easy...bicycles road is bit tricky for night. Horse cart charges 150K IDR one-way.

Best staff, best hotel, best side of the island!
The best hotel on the best side of the island with the best staff. We had a great time here! We stayed for 3 nights out of our 16 night Indonesia travels and this was my favourite place of the whole trip. Coffee and brekky is superb, the accommodation is beautiful and this place is situated on the quieter side of the island where you can chill out, watch sunset and swim with turtles every morning. They have free snorkelling gear to use and cheap bikes to hire. Beds are huge and comfy and rooms are clean and bright. We had a little drama and had to arrive at the hotel a few days late but the staff sorted it all out for us and changed our dates without charge. The staff are just the loveliest, they hit the balance between being professional, friendly and chilled out right on the mark. The staff made our stay so relaxing and they always had a smile for us, nothing was a problem, they were so personable and helpful. Completely perfect staff. I really recommend you stay here if you come to Gili T - you'll love it! Thanks for having us Wilson's! <3

A beautiful place
We had a lovely stay at Wilson’s Retreat. The hotel and rooms are quite special and certainly more luxurious than others in the island. The staff are so friendly and they all have smiles on their faces. Breakfast on the beach is breathtaking and something to experience. Wilson’s Retreat is on the quieter side of the island but that suits us. There are a few other restaurants nearby that you can have dinner at. And dinner at Wilson’s Retreat is great too. Thank you for a lovely stay and experience to all the staff at Wilson’s Retreat.

A place you will come back to..
As a small family group (3) for a short break - Wilson's really was the perfect "Retreat" - The staff & management were amazing, so helpful and friendly. The location is at the quiet North end of the island so it was very peaceful & tranquil. The beach is definitely best for swimming at full tide - (as is the case with the whole island) - & - the pool is a wonderful alternative during the low tide. The restaurant & bar serves delicious food & they have a drinks special between 2pm & 6pm that is a definite "must" for a relaxing afternoon We have experienced a few different places around Gilli T over the past few years, Wilson's has become the only destination for us from now on. Thanks for a terrific time, your courteous & caring crew made our stay everything we could have wished for.. See you next time. Paul S :-)

You wouldn’t being a castaway
Once a haven for backpackers high on magic mushrooms, today still an alluring institution for them plus a retreat for those with young kids. The largest of the 3 Gili islands, Gili T is a blend of magic mushroom can-you-get-higher-than-high-kingdom; and a lofty quiet getaway with cute kickback villas. Ditching the full moon parties, we opt for the idyllic chill. Wilson’s Retreat is cheekily named after Tom Hank’s only friend in ‘Castaway’ which is a volleyball. It’s pretty much faultless from the villas with generous space and an outdoor shower - the best way to be one with nature. All details are the cutest of cute. The food is just superb in taste and presentation. The small pool is classy and there’s a small private beach fringed with sun loungers and rustic dining with elegant lamps swaying above you as the strong wind whips on. This place has real character!

Beautiful resort style rooms right on the beach

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by warm smiling staff and they made us feel very comfortable. We were given a tour of our room and this was a nice touch. From then on, the service standard never dropped and we were extremely pleased and relaxed. We look forward to staying there again.

Absolutely stunning and away from the noise and high population of the east side of Gily T. The grounds were stunning, the food was delicious (included breakfast on the beach was very good), the snorkeling was fantastic straight off the sandy beach (just watch out for the dead coral on your way out) and the staff were delightful. Our room/villa was decadent. Large and airy and very clean. The bed and bedding were comfortable. The outdoor bathroom was so cool and the provided shower gel smelled so good. We loved our gecko friends on the deck too! One tip. You definitely need to use one of those horse cart taxis to get there with your luggage.

Great location, good food!
This is a great resort! Gili T is small, so almost anywhere you stay is good, but this location was awesome because it was close to the busy area as well as the perfect sunset location, Padawa. The only thing was the rooms were not the cleanest (pillows and sheets were yellow), and there are a lot bugs. Oh also, like reviews before, the wifi is not that good, they should definitely improve on that. Even with that though, I would recommend this place to anyone. Also, the food is really good!!

2 Day at Wilson's, North Gili T
Fantastic place, ever so slightly let down by a few faults. Builders next door woke us up early (although not a lot the hotel can do about this) Geckos running around in the villa ceiling were noisy. AC system fan was rattling and loud (Room Muri 11) Staff couldn't be nicer and overall great value for money, excellent location and great beach. Horse taxi from boat drop off shouldn't be more than 100k IDR! (Apr 17)

Our stay was okay big room and big outside bathroom Breakfast was okay. Hotel is in a very quiet surrounding Bicycle rental was not good, bikes were not in good condition ... . The wifi was not reliable you have to login every time you use your phone or i-pad. But i can recommend this hotel .

Paradisische Lage direkt am Meer. Ideal für Ruhesuchende abseits des Trubels. Bei Flut schönes Schnorcheln mit vielen Schildkröten direkt beim Hotel möglich. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Unsere Villa war leider nicht in bestem Zustand. Löttchen um den Pool waren teilweise kaputt. Die Tpren schlossen nicht eichtig. So hatten wie immer viele Mücken zu Besuch. Schlafen unter dem Mückennetz ist entsprechend Pflicht. Insgesamr abee schöne Anlage an einem wunderschönen Ort.

Fantastiskt bra!
Fantastiskt fint hotell. Smakfullt inrett, rent och fint. Maten var mycket bra och frukosten perfekt där man fick välja från en generös frukostmeny. Läget perfekt på stranden, fint ordnat med sacosäckar och solstolar. Personalen så vänliga, hjälpsamma och glada. Kan inte annat än varmt rekommendera Wilsons till alla.
