"The place is really beautiful. The receptionist was very sweet person. She arranged snorkelling tour, laundry, transport at a very cheap rate. She also gave us little turtle souvenirs. The place is deep inside the island 2km from the port, so it's better to take a horse carriage. The area is a little quiet and dark at the night, so i suggest you to take a torch with you. The pool is very salty, but if you wanna chill by the pool there's a lot of areas. The canteen inside is decent."

"Place is secluded enough away from the crowds but within easy walking distance of good places to eat and easy access to the beach. The villa is large and spacious. Pool and sunlounges are great, loved the breakfasts by the pool, even tried the floating breakfast. Staff and owners are very welcoming. Will stay again!"

"We booked this villa after reading other reviews stating it is fairly new and modern. It definitely is not. Everything is old and tatty very well worn a bit like junk rubbish furniture. The very poor breakfast is served on your verandah, you say what time and pick yr choice .We stated 9am and they knocked at 830am! "This location was absolutely superb. The amount of snorkeling that we were able to do directly in front of our hotel room was out of this world. If you are coming to this hotel, definitely bring your own snorkel equipment so you can use it as you wish instead of renting. However, they do have a rental place right next to it if you need. "Een lief, mpoi, klein en verzorgd parkje. Ontzettend lief en prettig personeel zij doen hun uiterste best. Helaas is er edn aardbeving geweest en vlak daarna Covid. De omgeving/ het eiland heeft hier enorm onder geleden en dat is duidelijk te zien. Het zal nog jaren duren voor dit eiland een mooie bezienswaardigheid is."

"Scallywags was such an amazing place to stay! There were times where after some food on the beach I wanted to escape the heat and my private pool with some Bintangs from the mini bar were just what I needed! All the staff were very kind and helpful! I can’t recommend this place enough! If you stay at scallywags you are going to love it!"
