Convenient location and very modern boutique hotel. I would give a 5 star but room did not have fridge, coffee machine or water. Front desk staff were attentive and nice. Good breakfast. Would stay agai.

Everything is amazing,staff is always welcoming and very clean .Its locate in the center of the city and plenty of restaurants and cafe around,we will repeat for sure. A coffe machine in the room or at least a kettle and soluble coffe will be a nice improvement for the suite.

A lovely, elegant hotel on the edge of the main old city in Gijon – it was perfect for our one-night visit. Reception was very warm and welcoming, helping us find somewhere to park the car before checkin (very close, a 3min walk), and calling a taxi to take us to dinner. There is no fridge in the room, but we were able to have room service bring an ice bucket, promptly. The room itself is super quiet, comfortable and (as expected) modern – we had plenty of space to relax and rest, and slept very comfortably. I’d stay here again if we find ourselves back in Gijon!

Gijon Stay
Really nice centrally located Hotel in Gijon. No Parking but I didnt have a problem finding a space nearby. Good staff , excellent bathroom and a perfect breakfast . Bar is very nice but does close early. Would recommend

Bonito, nuevo y limpio en el centro de Gijon!
Todo muy limpio y perfecta localización. Una lastima que el desayuno no esté incluido, para los que viajamos por trabajo no nos compensa pagar por un buffet 12 euros adicionales.

Nicely decorated junior suite and bathroom. However, room was extremely noisy, voices from side street carried up. Windows lack adequate sound proofing. Hotel is next to club that stays open until 6am. We only stayed one night.

Marvellous experience to be repeated.
For over 25 years I had stayed in the same hotel in Gijon for my annual business trips and vacations. As my usual hotel was full, I searched and picked this one. It was absolutely wonderful! The service, the location and the pared-down art deco ambience were magnificent. I may not go back to my usual hotel ever again after this marvellous stay at El Moderne.

A converted historic property between the marina promenade and the Old Town with access to the broader beaches. The rooms are very modern and the breakfast had extensive choices. The only glitch was the garage situation... it's an underground garage a few blocks away, next to the marina and you get a reduced rate.
