"The mattress on the bed was excellent, though the pillows could be better. The interior spaces were full of a huge array of fine antiques. The exterior spaces are under construction or in need of maintenance. Breakfast was a true Southern experience and a good fit if you are planning to bike the Virginia Creeper. The bathrooms are shared among the guests with the exception of the Honeymoon Suite, which is huge. The estate is minutes from the trail and the outfitters who support bikers and hikers."

"Great place! A real diamond. Cool little town with access to the outdoors and this hotel nails it. Local outdoor theme with modern design. We live in Bozeman Montana and this reminds us of a property that would be in Bozeman or Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Simple check-in, ample parking and sandwiched between two great restaurants/bars and literally the front door opens to the Appalachian Trail. Great place!"
