"We always stay in this hotel when we drive through afyon. The spa is amazing my kids loved the swimming and the massage. The 2 ladies who gave my kids massage were fantastic. "

"This is a cheap, budget hotel so, if you can overlook its shortcomings it represents good value for money and is adequate for a one-night stopover. But ... My room was not as described. The first thing I look for in a description is the inclusion of a mini-bar or fridge in the room - not because I cannot live without an alcoholic nightcap, but because I'm diabetic and need to keep my insulin chilled. Yet the listed minibar was absent. The sole staff member on site was excellent, however, and immediately produced a small fridge from storage and brought to my room. Unfortunately it took a while to reach a cold temperature, but my ice blocks maintained a chill until then. I overlooked the fact that the listed double bed had shrunk to a single, but was more disappointed that the bedlinen was poor - holes in the pillow, rips on the sheet, a stiff and lumpy quilt, and all with an overriding stench of stale body odour! Combined with a hard mattress, aningress of cigarette smoke, and noise from neighboring rooms (surely not the soundproofed room as described) I did not sleep well. The shower was good and breakfast was adequate (although I would have appreciated some fruit juice and coffee), and the staff were enthusiastic and helpful. The hotel could be much better - it has good bones but needs work to pull it up to a decent standard."

"We used Basaranlar Termal as an overnight stay to break up a long drive, and wanted to try a Termal resort. We knew each villa had its own private thermal pool/hammam-like bathroom. Such a great treat for tired muscles. The actual villa is also heated thermally...which made it quite warm. We balanced with open windows to reach our temperature taste. We traveled in May....but we did not see any AC which might be an issue in summer. Room was clean, average, comfortable. Except for the thermal pool...no frills. The grounds were wonderful to walk....there is a zoo of farm animals to visit. The keeper is kindly, and showed us each animal. This is a conservative resort....there were special hours for women to use the pool for example. This was of no concern for us, but should be noted. We did not have time for any of the spa services...on the road again very quickly, refreshed. We think Basaranlar a lovely family resort."
