We stayed two nights, we were in a room that was kind of dark with no window but asked to be moved and they were able to accommodate. It was on the third floor which was kind of difficult to climb. Would recommend that they say that when you book. Overall it was a nice stay.

The property was beautiful and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was warm and it was difficult to sleep. We had told someone when we arrived and they turned the air down, but then turned it off at night.

This hotel has a great location on Galveston Island. The Pleasure Pier is almost right across the street. There is a great restaurant and bar next door. Buyer beware. While the location is excellent, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. Other neighbourhoods around East End

One of our favorite little weekend getaways is a quick 45 minute drive from Houston. The Hotel Galvez and Spa has been the grand hotel of the Galveston sea wall since 1911. Originally built to help Galveston tourism recover from the devastation of the great hurricane of 1900 that almost ended the life of this island city. Charming architecture, beautiful pool, great bars and amenities. Given its age and history it has more than a few ghost stories as well. The Hotel is a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
