Nous avons beaucoup aimé cet endroit. Rosa et son fils furent merveilleux. L'endroit est très propre. La terrasse est magnifique avec une vue splendide sur la mer. Le marché est à distance de marche. Nous avons trouvé tout ce que nous voulions pour notre confort. L'arrêt de bus est aux pieds des marches. Par contre, ce fut très compliqué de rejoindre les villes à visiter (Amalfi, Positano, Ravello). Impossible de circuler avec notre voiture, nous avons opté pour le transport en commun qui est plein en permanence. En couple, ce n'aurait pas été un problème mais à 5 dont 3 enfants ce fut quelque peu rock & roll...

Beautiful view and garden terrace

The view is amazing and the garden in front with the lemon tree was a treat. We enjoyed the home comforts in the apartment, such as an espresso machine! Rosa and her family were so nice and they baked a welcome cake for my two young sons when we arrived. It was delicious and such an unexpected treat after a long drive! It's hard to beat a spot with a view and parking in this area. Two couples or small families could easily share this space. We would come back again!

Appartamento molto spazioso e silenzioso.

Appartamento molto spazioso e dotato di tutti gli accessori; in perfette condizioni. Terrazza a giardino con vista mare e forno per barbecue. Proprietari gentilissimi e disponibilissimi. Furore si trova a metà strada tra Amalfi e Positano.

Quiet, beautiful hotel on the hill

The hotel is off the main road and away from the congestion that happens in other tourist towns along the Amalfi Coast. It takes a short little hike up a hill; however, it is close to the bus stop. There is a little grocery store at the bottom of the hill that has just about anything you need. Rosa was wonderful and very helpful when it came to figuring out the bus and ferry schedules.

beautiful views, wonderful owner!

Rosa absolutely made this stay wonderful. We would have been lost without her. She helped us so many times making travel arrangements, figuring out the buses, helping us when our daughter lost her purse at a restaurant... And the property was the largest we stayed in while in Italy. The apartment was adorable, clean, and spacious. The market just below the apartment was well stocked, and very kind/friendly. This is a beautiful place, but requires riding a bus to get pretty much anywhere. During the busy summer months, this special area is VERY busy. Be prepared to ride buses early in the morning to get to Amalfi or anywhere and if you don't catch the early buses, you most likely will not be able to get on the bus as they are full, full, full. The local communities have hired smaller shuttles on the weekends in the summer to run routes specifically to address some of this, so they are trying very hard to help visitors get around.

Clean, comfortable, beautiful ocean views

Great location, in quiet town between more tourist areas. Unit is spacious, clean, and lends well to families. Great side for making meals and enjoying time viewing sunny days on the patio, under the orange trees! Grocery store, pharmacy, emergency clinic, several excellent restaurants within a short walk. Great hosts who can also connect you with reliable vendors (scooter rental delivered to your door!). Washer machine came in so handy too!

Absolutely wonderful!

Amazing hospitality. Incredible view. Great location. So much better than I imagined. Small convenience store next door. Bus stop directly in front. I could not ask for anything better. Very lovely. They even baked a cake for my kids.

Beautiful Aprtment

Refugio di Ela is a lovely "refuge" from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy areas of Amalfi Coast. It's perched high up on the coast but only approx. 20 mins. by bus to the town of Amalfi. It is conveniently located near the bus stop, grocery, convenience store ( Tabachi) & post office which is the heart of the town . There were a few restaurants nearby one of which we tried and really enjoyed ( Luca's) . The people are very warm and friendly that after a mere 5 days we really felt sad to leave. The owner of the beautiful, spacious, super clean apartment Rosa is the best! She is very helpful & made us feel so welcome. She's just a lovely, lovely lady! We had the best experience at the Amalfi Coast not only because of its beauty, it's crystal clear beaches but above all because of its wonderful warm , friendly people especially of Furore!!!

Excellent rapport qualité/prix et vue incroyable!

Charmant accueil de la part de Rosa et Antonio. Parking à proximité avec vignette fournie. Arrêt de bus devant la maison pour Amalfi (bateau pour Capri et Positano) ou Agerola. Bar, pharmacie et petite épicerie à 20 mètres. Grand appartement avec magnifique jardin. Cuisine très fonctionnelle. Lave-linge pratique (planche et fer à repasser) Climatisation dans toutes les pièces. Seul inconvénient, les chambres sont très humides (odeurs et draps humides).

בעלת הבית נחמדה ומוכנה לסייע בכל הנדרש. אין ביישוב מה לעשות בלילה, המקום הקרוב ביותר הוא אמאלפי המרוחק ב-16 דקות נסיעה, בכבישים צרים ומפותלים. הגישה לא נוחה.

Posto incantevole, rilassante e confortevole

Il proprietario è alla mano, molto simpatico ti accoglie con molta armonia (come tra l'altro usa fare la gente del posto). Sotto casa tutte le comodità, bancomat, bar, minimarket abbastanza fornito, pizzeria, farmacia. Dalla terrazza di casa si può ammirare lo splendore della costiera amalfitana con tutti i suoi profumi e i suoi colori. L'abitazione è fornita di tutto, dagli utensili di cucina al condizionatore (in cucina e nelle camere). Di fronte comoda navetta (09:30 - 10:30 - 12:00 andata, 17:00 - 18:00 ritorno) che fa il giro della costa e ferma nelle spiagge più suggestive (fiordo di furore ve la consiglio alla grande). Tutto sommato un'esperienza che rifarei volentieri.

Peaceful haven

This was a wonderfully peaceful place to stay away from the hassle of Amalfi. We had a car but chose not to drive as the road is rather challenging and the bus stops right outside. It was a great spot for exploring the coast and mountains - we also went to Capri from here. The staff could not be more friendly or helpful - booking trips for us and sorting out problems with rental car. They even brought our washing in for us when we were late back! Our room was delightful and had a huge balcony with a lovely view. Breakfast in the garden was charming each morning. The décor in the whole place is lovely and everything is spotless. This is a great place to stay and highly recommended.

A warm and charming B&B!

The warmest and most charming place we have ever been. The location is nice with good bus connections to Amalfi and Positano, the view wonderful and the rooms very comfortable. The hospitality is incredible - the hosts are always available and happy to help. We will love to go back!

B&B molto carino e semplice

proprietari molto gentili e disponibili, posto piccolo con una vista fantastica. splendida la terrazza in cui si fa colazione all'aperto. bagno un po' piccolo e letto non fra i più comodi, ma la costiera amalfitana vale assolutamente la visita

Perfeito!!

Nossa estadia foi simplesmente sensacional. Após 3 dias no Il Refugio di Ela, saímos com lágrimas nos olhos pela despedida, pois fomos acolhidos como velhos amigos. O hotel é simples, mas oferece todo o necessário para uma estadia confortável. As dicas de restaurantes fornecidas pela Daniela foram simplesmente fantásticas (em Furore, Conca dei Marini e Agerola).Furore é uma cidade entre Amalfi e Positano, proporcionando a facilidade em poder se locomover entre as cidades facilmente. Gracie do Sr. Antonio, Daniela, Rosa e Sra Anna. Arrivederci e presto

A wonderful stay on the Amalfi Coast

This family run hotel was a wonderful place to stay. The breakfasts were great and the warm hospitality and advise on what to see in the area made our stay a memorable experience.

Wonderful place on the top of the cliffs

Perfect. Very hospitable, family owned B&B with high standards, welcoming atmosphere. The owners pay attention to the smallest details and are really and honestly welcoming (and even speak some English, too :)... True travel experience at its best! Will be back AND send our parents, too... this place is a go-for!

Bodde på detta charmiga B&B sju nätter 9-16 september. Bra period med skön ej för hög värme och begränsat antal turister. Familjen som driver hotellet var mycket hjälpsamma och angelägna att vår vistelse skulle bli så bra som möjligt. Hotellet, beläget på mellan 3 och 400 meters höjd över havet, med 7 trevliga och välskötta rum nåddes per slingrande " alpvägar". Tillgänglig parkering och busshållplats alldeles utanför entrén. Från vår balkong mot havet hade vi en magnifik utsikt." och kunde njuta av både morgonsol och solnedgång med lämpliga tillbehör. Frukosten i trädgården under Kiwiträdet och i skuggan av citron- och apelsinträd var en perfekt start på dagen i trevlig gemenskap med värdfamiljen. Sammanfattningsvis är Il Refugio Di Ela en "pärla" mer än väl värt ett besök. Utsikten, de dramatiska omgivningarna och värdfamijlen Anna, Antonio, Daniella och Rosa gör en vistelse på Il Refugio till ett minne för livet.
