We stayed for 8 nights at the Wbf. We requested a quiet upper floor room. We were assigned a 14th top floor room that is 2 doors away from the elevator, and enroute to the women & men's public bath house and the free beverage room. The moment you leave the lobby, esp. in the summer, you go into an oven. The rooms are located in open motel type corridor with no air conditioning. What is worst, when it rained hard, the carpet of the corridor gets extremely damp. Wbf is a good 20 minutes walk from Hakata station. Adding the walk within that hugh station, you are walking 30 minutes one way and an hour round trip for transportation each time. During the hot summer, with 95 plus degrees temperature, hot corridor and time to slowly cool off your room after plugging in your key, it is not ideal for Westerners who are used to driving in an air conditioned car most of the time. If we went out twice, we would have spent close to 2 hours just being able to get to the right train & back. We will definitely look for a hotel closer to Hakata station since we ate most of our meals there. Some staff friendly and helpful, but on 2 occasions, 2 were unfriendly and did not want to help much. Wbf book lots of short term (1-3 days) group tourist so often here will be 20 tourist with luggage surrounding the lobby, not the best environment! The rather expensive breakfast with steak was not worth the money because at 8:30 am we could tell the steak had been sitting there a while. Not coming back!

decent stay for the price
Elevator a bit slow. 24-hour free drinks was a plus. Public bath on top floor took awhile to get to and quite cramped. I didn’t like how all the shoes and slippers were not separated, and another guest took my slippers.

We checked in late around 9pm and check in was a breeze. The front desk staff had great customer service. The room was small but we already knew that so we didn’t bring too much stuff with us. It could barely take one luggage. The bathroom was probably the highlight, it has a huge tub and surprisingly the bathroom was spacious. If you are bothered by smells, it does start to smell like food around 6am, we were on the 5th floor and it was strong.

Went there on a business trip. The room was small but clean. I didn’t use it but the TV was surprisingly big. Around 50”. The desk was small so I couldn’t do much PC work there because it was uncomfortable but it was good enough to work a couple of hours. The bathtub was big, clean and the shower water pressure was perfect. Not very close to the station but not far either. It is in a big street so accessibility was good enough. You have a couple of convenience stores close, and one famous ramen shop too. (hakata issou) Good enough to stay just to sleep and rest a little in your trip.

We received fast check in and staff were friendly and efficient. Trendy small rooms with everything that is required. A little chilly in the hallways due to open air in the centre but a nice idea especially when they were cooking breakfast. Free hot and cold drinks a great idea

Generally ok & bathroom very nice. Was very disappointed that unable to book an early morning taxi for airport & told me to wait on street to flag a cab for a 5am departure. I was then further disappointed that they were unable to provide an early morning call - despite having a manned reception. This poor service means would never recommend this hotel.

great stay in Hakata
new hotel in hakata ward, the location is actually between Hakata station and higashi-hie station.. if you are thinking of walking with your luggage from the station to the hotel it would be a challenge. So we decided to take taxi to and from the airport. the building has an huge open airwell. it is great concept, but the hotel decided to serve a BBQ breakfast at the courtyard, and the smell of BBQ food enters the room every morning. So if you love walking and the smell of BBQ breakfast, it is a great new hotel to stay. Clean and nice hotel

Public bath was horrable for me. A lot of trash in the washing area, people soak in the tub with bath towels, wet floor in the changing area and so on. Many foreigners from Asia, that’s pretty welcome, so hotel should kindly let them know how to deal with that in Japan. That’s poor.

Nightly bar was very nice as was onsen. Room (for 3 people) did not a have a closet so storage space was tight. Excellent staff. It would have been great to have a simple restaurant on site for a quick meal.

location is ok, just abt 15 mins to airport. Close to Hakata station and shopping malls, abt 10 mins walking. hotel room is small but good enough to sleep, good for short stay, bed is comfortable, staffs is good and polite. the only thing i dont like is they only keep luggages for early arrival guests, after u check out, cant keep bags there.
