"Absolutely shocking. Arrived at 7.20pm. Check in was between 5-8pm. No sign of anyone. Phoned both phone numbers and messaged via hotel.com - no answer from property. Waited there for an hour. We were extremely tired after leaving the UK at 7am!!! Had to find another hotel at ann extra cost. Eventually arrived around 9pm. Hotel owner phoned me at 10.38pm, waking us up, to ask where we were and apologise! What a joke. A formal complaint has been made to hotel.con who were extremely helpful...

Top Froidchapelle Hotel Reviews

B&B HOTEL Maubeuge Louvroil

10/10 Excellent

"Buffet restaurant across the road must be very useful for visitors used to eat late in the evening - not visited as they open at 7pm. However, there is a supermarket just around the corner and frozen food outlet. One can use a microwave in the hotel."

Ibis Charleroi Centre Gare

10/10 Excellent

"Good size room (twin). Nothing spectacular, but nice and clean enough. The bed was comfortable. Had a fan and Aircon. So easily able to make it comfortable. Excellent shower. Didn't have breakfast. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Was able to park despite arriving late. The staff evidently try hard. Carpets in common areas have evidence of heavy use, but that's just a fact of life in a busy city centre hotel."

Le Presbytère de Sautour

8/10 Good

"A peaceful haven within striking distance of Dunkirk ferry port for us. Beautiful setting with lots to do. Not only pool and jacuzzi but also board games, books and pool table accessible. Very quiet but then we did stay on a Monday night. I'm sure it is busier at the weekend. Comfortable quadruple room with proper beds for all made this perfect for us and our teenagers to break the drive up from Bavaria."

Campanile Maubeuge

10/10 Excellent

"While the Campanile Maubeuge firmly embraces a no-frills, utilitarian approach to hospitality, it excels where it matters most: premier positioning, exceptional comfort, and standout service. For travellers seeking an efficient and highly cost-effective base, it delivers superb value for money. The property’s absolute crowning achievement is its location. It serves as an unbeatable logistical hub, offering unparalleled convenience that immediately elevates its appeal for both business and leisure itineraries. The guest rooms are undeniably simple and minimalist in design, yet they masterfully cover the essentials of a high-quality stay. Far from just basic lodging, the rooms feature remarkably comfortable bedding that ensures a restful night's sleep, paired with surprisingly powerful, high-pressure showers, a welcome luxury after a long day of travel. The true heart of this hotel is its exceptional front-of-house team. The staff are nothing short of magnificent, demonstrating a warmth and patience that is particularly reassuring for non-native French speakers. The reception team consistently goes above and beyond, handling every request with genuine grace and attentiveness. The morning culinary offering is another highlight. The continental breakfast is superb, presenting a well-curated and fresh selection of everything one would expect from a quality European buffet."
