"This property was not what we expected. Air conditioning was advertised yet it was only offered at an additional cost of 10 euro per day. We’ve not encountered this anywhere else we’ve stayed. Expedia advertised that there was a fridge and clothes washer. Neither were present in the room. Not appropriate! We were told that there a fridge in the office but that could only be utilised on request but not accessed after 6.30pm as the office would then be closed. Our bedroom was sparsely furnished...

"This was such a cute place and had a communal kitchen. The "Grey" room is lofted, so maybe not best for those that have trouble with stairs, but I loved it. I wish I had more time to spend in my room. Great shower too and Manuele was so nice! I had to show him my passport when I checked in and pay the tax, just a few euros. Not sure why it wasn't all included, but I had cash. Great place overall, be prepared for an uphill walk that's well worth it!"

15. Villa Fiorita

"I didnt like the bed bugs, or how the owner, rather than dealing with them and refunding, instead claimed i was lying, then that i brought them (this was my first hotel after coming from my home) refused to refund and made me crawl through hoops with expedia to resolve. Thankfully i had kept my luggage closed the first night, and was able to heat treat it upon booking to another hotel in the area after checking out immediately..."

16. Lodge & Art

17. DA NOI A TRIESTE

Pusat Bandar Trapani

"My impression from the listing was that it was a boutique type hotel. The proprietor was only present in the mornings. The facility consisted of 4 rooms an entry way and a dining room. We did not receive instructions prior to arriving how to access the entry way. We stood in the heat weary, after traveling 22 hours trying to call the number on the plaque outside the door. When we finally reached the proprietor he buzzed us in. I climbed the stairs looking for the property and at first couldn't...

18. Al Garibaldino Rooms

Barriera Vecchia-San Giacomo

"Marco was very helpful in checking us in and orienting us to Trieste. He had helpful suggestions about local restaurants and bars. I was having trouble with my WhatsApp and he was incredibly patient as worked it out! The flat was very clean, spacious, and nicely decorated and the bed was quite comfortable with plenty of covers. The flat was well-located, near transportation, restaurants, and bars, and with a bakery on the street below. We very much enjoyed our stay here!"
