"Our second stay (first in a chalet on site, rather than in the hotel itself). Chalet itself: The chalet was well-appointed - 2 bedroom and a kitchen with what we needed to cook basic meals at home. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was cool enough, though the A/C was only in one bedroom and in the main living area. It was very clean. Location: Chalet 1 was a bit awkwardly close to the road and parking area, I wouldn't choose it again - the others are further back from the road. While this is technically just across the street from the lake, there is no lake view - it is obscured completely by the dumpsters of the restaurant across the street. So it felt like only okay value for money - lakeside but no lake view or real access. The lake access was down the street and required payment to access. Check-in: The worst part was check-in which soured our arrival experience. Check-in is at a hotel down the street for the season, which should have been fine. But they keycard they gave us repeatedly did not work - this means we had to drive back and forth between the two properties 4 times, which wasted time and was frustrating. I understand the hotel staff at reception doesn't prioritize this property, they are focused on their own, but why did we have to go back and forth to test keys rather than their staff? We saw a few people including a manager in an office at reception that didn't help. We never received 2 keys though we were told we would - no final resolution."

"Site excellent !!! L’extérieur des bâtiments nécessite de l’entretien, actuellement en cours, car un très beau bâtiment plutôt ancien en briques et bois. C’est surtout le bois des fenêtres, des pourtours de jonction des toitures et murs extérieurs, et des patios et galeries d’accès qui on besoin d’être rénovés. L’intérieur est impeccable."

"The room is great! the beach is great! And the breakfast is far and beyond what you would expect for a complimentary meal. We definitely will be going back....but not for another culinary experience at the restaurant "Un Vrai Delice." Why would a family resort with all the fun things to do put a dent in your adventure and your wallet by agreeing to have such a one-star eating establishment associated with it? Someone must have connections in high places because I surely can't figure this out! Duck, duck and more duck and then how about a duck hamburger!?!? Where are all the family meals? The breakfast mornings were packed with children but nowhere to be seen at suppertime. It doesn't take a scientist to know that what a difference if "beef" hamburgers, chicken nuggets, wings and things, etc. were being offered, the place would be packed. Instead, there's eight or so people in the restaurant that were actually sitting there trying to figure out the menu of "delise" before either choosing a not-so-great meal or walking away. I'm sorry I didn't walk away, but I won't be going back. One more thing...for you families, get in the car a drive down the road to Knowlton where the meals makes sense and save you dollars!"
