We really enjoyed the relaxing & peaceful vibe around the accommodation. The room was really lovely and having an on-site restaurant was great too!

Really great time staying in the deluxe spa houses. Beautifully equiped and furnished, and loved having the hot tub out on the deck to use.

We were there as a couple seeking rest at a quiet and zen "retreat" location with a SPA. The suite was big and clean, but the "retreat" was more of a summer camp full of teens partying in the SPA and all over the place. So we didn't use the SPA and stayed in the room. We were there for only 1 night. Also the opening hours of the reception are very limited. The checkout is at 10 and the reception opens at 9 when you want to visit the glacier at 8. So let's say it was just ok.

The view of the glacier through the rainforest was very good! The area was very quiet, well appointed with practical amenities and a very short walk into town. The property had a full range of lodging options from camping up to luxury hotel room but the layout and the foliage made it seem like you were almost by yourself in the woods.

Location and unit size. We had a unit for somebody with a disability so configuration was a bit different. That didn't bother us but toilet had leaking sound, tv control needed new batteries, and sheets while I think clean had what looked like blood spots on sheet and pillow cases. Also a cleaner accessed our room when we weren't there - changed cutlery and emptied bins, but bed unmade and towels not replaced. There were not instructions that this would take place, and unmade bed not made (if something was on it) and towels not replaced (if not on the ground). We didn't know this. Also door very hard to lock. Service - only place we have stayed in New Zealand where reception staff were gruff

Aged units and appliances. Room smelled due to humidity and wood in the unit. No screens on windows and heat was too high so we had to open the windows to cool the room down which let bugs in. No freezer.
