"Having decided to visit Mont st Michel at the last minute we stumbled upon Les Hauts. It has the most incredible views across the bay. The property is set in beautiful grounds of tropical plants, such as palms, mimosa and Magnolias. From the house you can walk to the beach ( 5 minutes) a small bar and bakers ( very good cakes and baguettes). Swimming is best at high tide. "On a trip with my son to visit the beaches of Normandy for D-Day as well as Mount Saint Michael, St-Malo, was perhaps one of the closest villages. It also had the peace and quiet of the countryside yet just within a 45 minute drive of all of these beautiful historic sites along scenic country roads.
