"Loved everything about this resort. I only wish it had been a bit warmer so we could have enjoyed the fire pit overlooking the ocean. Our room was cozy and warmed by a stove fireplace and had a beautiful view of the ocean. We were greeted with delicious cookies and a free glass of wine. More delicious bakery treats were available in the morning with coffee. I highly recommend a stay at this resort."

"The place is clean and quiet. Good getaway from the city. I booked with Expedia and as I was checking out. They charged me extra $ for cleaning fee. I did pay a good amount for a night and I’m surprised it wasn’t included in the first place. It also wasn’t mentioned when I was checking in, but I’m still giving a 5 star because it’s the best sleep I had in a long while. The staffing was super nice. "Highland Dell is a lovely old lodge overlooking the beautiful Russian River. The host were friendly and helpful. The bed is very comfortable. I highly recommend dining at the restaurant. Our schnitzel was excellent and the house-made apple strudel is unsurpassed! I keep thinking about it. The breakfast included with the room is the best, by far, I have had at a hotel. Try the pastries. The rooms are VERY small, but nice, like in the old days when people didn't have as much stuff. Get over it....

"What a great find!! Beautiful well-kept property and cottages. We loved our spacious updated cottage, with front porch to sit on. We loved the grounds - so well cared for and beautiful. I would walk the grounds and find new treasures each time - from the beautiful pond, the little waterfall, figurines here and there among the plants. "We love it up here. A true gem by the Russian River. This was our second stay up here and the staff and property are amazing. Spacious cabins, comfortable beds, modern bathrooms and overall decor. The pool is such a treat, especially for the kids. And Javier, the property manager has been so accommodating and helpful during both our stays. Of course, super close to the beaches so a really convenient location. We plan to make this our regular summer getaway spot! "

"Our stay at Surrey was delightful! We were welcomed warmly and immediately felt comfortable and cared for. Bailey arranged for us to switch tents graciously and with ease. Oli was especially kind and treated us to a delicious peanut butter cookie from the cafe. She later brought us a sample of an appetizer from a recipe that she was trying and it was such a treat! We luxuriated in the hot tub and enjoyed a fire in our fire pit. I would definitely recommend a stay here."

"We stayed in a teeny-tiny cabin. Nice shower with nice products. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Nice bed! Two burner stovetop and mini fridge. Fire pit and picnic bench in front of each cabin. Just a few steps to Johnson’s Beach. Just a few blocks from Safeway and restaurants. La Bodeguita Mexican restaurant is a MUST. Property manager Chris is very kind and helpful. "
