"room Hairy Mary was fabulous . Huge -Massive comfy bed , wonderful bathroom.needs somewhere to put sponge bags as wee shelf too small. Toiletries fabulous
Room needs a mini fridge and nespresso coffee machine - not a huge investment but at £350 per night BB it would elevate the experiance .
bedside cabinets and dressing table in that room were awful - looked as if they came from a 2nd hand shop - defo need replacing .only 5 hangers but a simple fix.
room needs a handyman for a couple of hours touching up paint especially at the entrance .
ALL the staff were excellent 10/10.
Loved the wee bars and sitting rooms with all the history of Forss house .
Fab canapés . V surprised at size of queenie scallops - tiny , over cooked and only 3 and @£19 so not great value . Halibut was Devine and cooked perfectly 👍 Pork belly was not slow cooked enough and was tough.Hassleback pots - cannot use new pots - not crispy and no garlic . Venison and sea trout fabulous . Choc mousse fabulous but lemon tart a big disappointment- so thin and not sharp .
Delicious petit fours 👏👏
We were sat at the end of the conservatory and my view was the kitchen extraction fan with a very rusty pipe on the wall and a lot of weeds and pots with old dead flowers . There was fat from the extractor fan all down the window .
Some one needs to sit there and just look at what customers see - some
well planted pots and a tasteful screen , huge difference.
Breakfast faultless. Thankyou 👏👏"
"I don’t want to be too negative, as we really did enjoy our stay and the staff was lovely, but I don’t think they should use the word “luxury” when describing the room: the tub casing was cracked and the bathroom floor was in poor condition. There were other issues as well. But we slept and ate well, and don’t regret staying there. Just drove the word “luxury” please! "
"Never saw the circular staircase that was pictured in add. Location was great. Room was adequate. bathroom clean and comfortable bed. Dining room chairs were dirty, blinds in dining were dirty. Very slow to be waited on for dinner. We left. Food display seemed clean. Staff nice."
"Room was small, but clean and comfortable. Parking was tight, but adequate. We had an excellent dinner in their restaurant, and breakfast was a buffet, so you can eat what you want."
"Craig and Heather were great hosts, friendly and helpful, their food was excellent, great choice at both dinner and breakfast. Plenty safe parking. Our room was on the ground floor, great access for me, clean and very comfortable. "
"Staff was friendly and helpful. Gave us a room upgrade. The room was spacious and light. Plenty of blankets towels and tea/coffee supplies. Dinner downstairs was excellent and our waitress Emily was bubbly and very sweet. The room was a bit dated but that added to the charm. There was a well equipped kitchen with refrig and stove. No breakfast at this inn. But there are options close by. The bar had a lot of options and the prices very very reasonable. Would absolutely stay here again. "
"The hotel is ideally located with stunning views. The staff were extremely helpful. The restaurant provided a delicious meal and the bar has a comfy atmosphere. Would highly recommend."
