"The lodge is beautiful in very peaceful area, it was very clean with everything we needed. We used it mainly for a base as we were traveling so only really slept there. The lodge is situated between 2 other properties and would benefit ( I’m my opinion) with blinds on all lower windows. The bed is very comfortable but a bit on the narrow side. "I had to be booked in for 10.00 and the kitchen closed at 8.30 so had to go out and the bed was smelling of dampness and when I came back from eating out I had to phone for someone to let me in not ideal after driving almost 150 miles so I’m afraid I will not be using the Smithton hotel in the future the bar was also closed early so I couldn’t get a drink when I came from eating out."
