"This spot was a solid 4 star place. My room was very nice, everything was clean and well-kept and in working order. Bed was very comfy, the pool was nice, the hot tub was cozy, and it was convenient to have food options on site. They also have a scuba and snorkel shop right there, and you can book adventures that leave right from the resort. I didn't do this, but I saw other folks doing it and they seemed happy! There is also a spa on site, which I didn't use, but I wished I had! My only downside for this place was that it was very bright outside my room and the curtains did not quite stay closed enough for me. Very minor thing though."

"Was given dirty bed sheets more than once. The sliding glass door, toilet and ceiling fan were all broken to some degree. most of the amenities or not included the way the website makes it seem, you have to pay separately for everything and they are ridiculously over priced. Also charges multiple daily fees that aren’t explained until check out "

"Chesapeake Beach Resort is overall a wonderful property that provided us with exactly the vacation we were hoping for. As some others have mentioned, the property is not impressive upon first viewing but once you arrive and begin to experience the facility you understand how nice it is. Many reviewers have mentioned the wonderful breakfast and we can do nothing but echo their opinions. The made to order breakfasst options are great. You can get omelets exactly as you like them. Coffee and juices are available as are cereals, bagels, and muffins. The best part of the breakfast for us was the service. My wife was using a walker or wheelchair during our visit and Chris and Jose (the main breakfast chefs) each made sure she was able to get her food out to our table with no issues. They were so friendly and provided service much beyond any reasonable expectation! Eating breakfast out by the lagoon was great as well. The views are amazing. The room was exactly as described. It was larger than we expected with a great bed and the bathroom was well equipped. The ADA compliant shower was great for my wife! There was a fully equipped small kitchen that we didn't use very much. Housekeeping came daily and brought fresh towels and cleaned and made the bed. The pools were very nice as is the beach area. The beach is not a smooth sandy beach, it's coarse sand as you see all over the Keys. The only complaint we have is that the hot tub did not work while we were there."
