The rooms were clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was decent, air conditioning worked well, the hotel itself was quiet. Some physical aspects of the room could be improved. It would be nice if the window had a grated screen over it so you could enjoy a breeze without having to worry about a bird or bugs flying in. Like other reviews mention, the shower doesn't have any sort of barrier to keep water from seeping onto the floor. Also, while this is out of the hotel's control, there is a nightclub across the backlane that seems to operate on the weekend. We stayed for 4 nights and only noticed the noise on Saturday, but we could hear people outside until 3 or 4 in the morning. Again, out of the hotel's control but perhaps better insulation around indoors could help muffle some of the noise. Overall, we had a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Property location is excellent. Right in the heart of the historic center. Lots of great restaurants close to property. Reception was helpful and friendly. We booked a room with one double bed and were given a free upgrade to a room with two double beds. Room was small but appreciated the fridge, closet, shelf above bed. Only had one chair to sit on and needed two as two persons in room. No table or room for one. Bathroom was clean but as mentioned in other reviews water from shower sprayed everywhere soaking the floor mat and floor. Towels etc changed every second day so had to go search for dry/clean towels/floor mats. Breakfast was basic but plentiful enough. Breakfast room was small and felt crowded.

Everything was good except for the shower area, no curtain nor door; everytime I shower, the bathroom ends up with a paddle of water so I had to mop the floor after showering, never done that before! The staff, Mahin, is very accommodating.

The room is a bit small. There is no table to eat. Hot water is only enough for one person. You got to shower fast. The location is close to everything. They do charge fee for the city.

The Property was in a nice location. Restaurants were located closer to the hotel. Museums were closer to the hotel. Reception counter staff were nice and very helpful. Breakfast was yummy. Hotel did not have hot water, I had to ask the reception counter to clean the room. Bathtub does not have curtain and water was over the small bathroom.

Love the location of the property. Everything is within walking distance. The breakfast service was pleasant and well stocked with food. The room was nice. The shower needs attention. There is no door or curtain on the shower. We ended every shower with a large puddle of water across the floor.

When I book a 4 star hotel I expect much more, lots of little things let the place down, bad painting, rusty shower rose, hole in the bed sheets, wires hanging down from the tv, cupboard doors hung badly, bathroom was cleaned but the taps weren’t, the staff hardly acknowledged your presence when you entered the building, it all adds up to an unpleasant experience. Then there was breakfast, the croissants weren’t fresh every morning, in fact maybe 1 out of 4 they were ok, we had to ask for bread one day, the coffee machine wasn’t filled properly, pretty poor quality all round. I’m not sure how star ratings work in Italy but if this is a 4 I’d hate to stay in a 1, and to put it in to context if you’ve stayed in a premier inn in the uk it would be an 8 compared to this. Not a place we will stay in again tho we will return to Florence.

The location is excellent: easily walkable. It is also quiet & safe, not in just location but also in security: you must have a key card to get in the building, to use the elevator, & to get into the rooms. The staff, especially the lady at the front desk, is nice. The breakfast, which is included, is good with lots of options: you have timed appointments for breakfast so that they can accommodate everyone: we like to sleep in & chose the latest appointment. Our 1st morning there we especially enjoyed our breakfast; the 2nd morning it was overcrowded; by the third morning it was so crowded we could not find a seat—I think some people were not respecting their appointments slots. Our only negatives were: there’s only enough hot water for one person to take a shower, so we had to split our showers up throughout the evening, with some people taking showers before dinner, and others after. There is a mini-split air conditioner in the room, but we could not get it to adequately cool our room- I don’t know if it’s a malfunctioning machine or user error (the remote seemed pretty self-explanatory) Because we were so warm, we tried opening the window the 1st night but got bitten by mosquitoes, so kept them closed. There are blinds on the windows, but they do not block out the light, so when in the sun comes up the room lights up & it becomes difficult to sleep; blackout curtains would be great! We also could’ve used some more pillows on the beds. We would stay again!

A nice boutique hotel hidden between the river and the tourist zone. 200 ft away is Dei Neri street with dining options that are lined up with people who live there. Friendly staff, though not on call 24/7.

This hotel made my stay in Florence one of the most memorable because I could easily come back to the hotel as many times as I wanted throughout the day to drop my things off and head out again. It was clean, comfortable, and the location is perfect. The breakfast was also good and had a little bit of everything. The popular museums and attractions were all walking distance.

Extremely basic, this is maybe a 2 or 3 star, definitely not a 4-star. The rooms are very basic, WiFi is intermittent & the breakfast is possibly the worst in Florence. It honestly should be illegal to serve those pastries! The hot water is very limited, so you can only have 1-2 min shower, the HVAC took hours to heat & the non-insulated floors were brutally cold. This is ideally suited for summer to anyone that wants no frills. It was so bad we left & booked another hotel after one night. Would not recommend

A lovely hotel, obviously refurbished in the last few years. The room was large and clean, with a table and two chairs and a fridge in the wardrobe. The bathroom was well equipped with an excellent rainfall shower and plenty of hot water. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and went above and beyond when I needed an early breakfast one day. The hotel is located on a narrow side street just a few steps from a more major street lined with an excellent range of restaurants, and all the major museums and the cathedral are all within a 15 minute walk. I loved my stay here, and will definitely be back.

If you care about location and very little but location than do stay at this hotel. Shopping, dinning and museums will be just steps away. But here are just a few things that didn't work for us: the room key card didn't work and was never fixed during our 4-night stay, and the staff members made no effort to remedy the situation, and seemed unable to grasp the concept of its requiring action to be taken; the heater in the room didn't work either, the street was noisy and there were no sound isolation, and the (weird) window blind didn't work, so the room was illuminated at night, and dark during the day; the staff was friendly but not helpful at all. The breakfast is lacklustre and lacking. No shower curtain or screen, so entire bathroom gets wet.

For the most part the staff we interacted with were great, especially Ornella and the young man at breakfast. It would have been nice to know ahead of time that we had to pay cash on arrival for the per night per person city tax. The breakfast was not worth it. Coffee from a vending machine was not what was expected. Our room had little to no storage and barely any room to walk around the bed. No place to hang towels in the bathroom but for one towel hook in the shower. Water sprayed across the floor when showering because no curtain or door was on the shower. We had to use an extra floor mat as a hand towel most days or a cotton kitchen cloth other days. It was advertised as a 4 star hotel but it was more in line with a hostel. However the location was fantastic in terms of getting places by foot.

We booked this property for our stay in Florence and it was a nightmare. When we arrived, there is no concierge at night so your keys are left inside an envelope in the front desk. We had booked two rooms and one of our rooms had active mold growth on the walls and a terrible indoor air smell. We tried calling the emergency contact number and received no answer. We didn't stay in the moldy room and we were denied our refund the next morning from the unused moldy room. The overall hotel facilities are old and dated and the road entrance to the hotel is very suspicious. Would no recommend at all and this welcoming to Florence totally ruined that part of our trip.

This is entirely NOT a 4-star hotel. It is an old Italian apartment building that was re-styled into a hotel with 4 stars plunked on the wall as advertisement of a promise it cannot keep. No lobby, not even a chair to sit on. No space. Small breakfast area. A side door leading to the stairwell up to the rooms that stays open for numerous extra seconds, thus posing a security risk in an area of Florence that is highly frequented - and directly across the alley from a sketchy and LOUD "locale" (club) that attracts drunks and cars until the early hours of the morning - as in, 3-4am. Tiny rooms. Clean - thanks to the good work of the cleaning staff - but absolutely tiny. And some of the hardest beds one can imagine. The photos posted on the internet are entirely accurate. It's the surrounding space (non existent) and neighborhood (highly trafficked) that doesn't appear, and makes all the difference.

Great location as a tourist. Around the corner from Uffizi and walkable to all the main sights. The little hotel is down an alley so it was slightly creepy when I first got there as a single female traveler. The rooms were clean and looks fairly new/modern. Key card is WiFi based for front entrance and room. Soap and liquid body wash is provided but that’s all.

We only stayed one night, but were unable to get a refund for the second night even though we requested it almost two weeks in advance (I booked the wrong end date). We had a room on the 3rd floor. The elevator only goes to 2. There were a lot of steps up and down to this room as well as a lot of full and half steps inside our room. Not the best floor to be on for older people.

Cramped rooms and bathrooms. Seemed to be an apartment turned hotel. Breakfast area was tight and offerings were underwhelming. The hotel had an unpleasant smell throughout, and the fact that it was outside a bar/club made it loud and raucous at night. Would not recommend.

We were in the room on the top floor. There is no lift after second floor and we had to carry luggage up three flights of stairs. Stairs were very narrow and awkward. Room smelt of sewerage. Towels only changed if you asked.
