"clean and comfortable with wi-fi as good as it gets considering you're not in an urban area but then again, why are you on your phone? You're at the footsteps of Glacier Park! When you check in, you may have to do it at the store down the street. Do yourself a favor and grab some treats ... and a book or three. They have a very nice selection of books for not only adults but also kids. I would suggest an upgrade from the in-room Maxwell brand coffee to something like Montana Coffee Traders (woah, this is good coffee). Also, do yourself a favor and go into Browning and check out Faught's Trading Post before they close for good after this summer. They feature Blackfeet artist work (bedwork, quillwork, et al. Also, the museum for Blackfeet history, and grab some "red weiners" from IGA or Glacier Foods. This is pretty much staple back there."
"My husband and I stayed here one night while visiting family in Bigfork. The room was clean, quiet, and I appreciated the Amber bottles with body wash shampoo and conditioner. Beds were comfy. The one thing I would suggest is upgrading the TP a bit - it was very thin. The location is great and while we didn’t get to use the pool or the hot tub, it would’ve been nice and I think if traveling with children this would be a great stop - walkable to some restaurants and downtown Big Fork. Someone said there was a park behind the property, but we didn’t get to take a look. For a no-frills stay that is a great location and has friendly staff, this would be a great choice. I also appreciated the text message advance of the reservation that gave information on lobby hours."
"Good stay in Essex on the way from Glacier National park at a quiet community of 40 people. Convenient stay on the way back from the East entrance of Glacier. Small rooms but clean and well maintained. The property wifi is very spotty and there's no cellphone signal there.
The owners also serve dinner at their restaurant next door, their Chinese food is quite good."
"It was a great stop for the night between Missoula and Glacier National Park. Comfortable room and a pleasant garden for enjoying a peaceful morning cup of coffee then a nice breakfast in the inn’s library. Not much in the area. Go to nearby Big Fork for things to do in the evening."
"Great place to stay, close to National and State Parks. Right off Flathead Lake, walking distance to restaurants. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Kitchenette with sink refrigerator and microwave. Offered complimentary ice and firewood, but now was available. The manager came within minutes of a phone call that the refrigerator was not working, it blew a breaker and was cleaned up quickly. Owner called me back quickly as I didn't know what room we were staying in, that was because Hotels.com who we booked through did not provide them an email or phone # to contact me with that information. Would stay there again. The landscaping could use some cleaning up, lots of overgrown grass and weeds."
