Bed was supposed to be king size but was a full and dipped everywhere. Site said restaurant and bar but told when arrived both were closed for the season. Had yo drive over an hour to get food after driving several hours yo get there. Had we known about closure we would’ve grabbed food before arriving. Staff refused to give a credit and was rude to Expedia when tried to get credit.
Was great for a few nights stay! Shower was slightly crusty but we cleaned it and then it was all good! Nice bedding and views!

Nice setting and a little more reasonable than many other places, but rooms are old and cleaning could have been better. Heater thermostat would not work properly and overheated the room even when turned down to a minimum setting of 62F. Had to get out of bed to shut it off and then again a couple of hours later to warm the room up for a while, almost like using a wood stove. Be aware that the restaurant/bar is closed in winter and you'll have to drive down to Oakhurst for food.
Simple mountain lodge hotel room but with great staff and amazing outdoor amenities. My favorite part might have been the comfy rockers on the balcony that overlooks the mountains and nearby stream but there were lots of other outdoor areas for gathering to relax and enjoy the mountains. Very friendly staff that are super helpful and knowledgeable for exploring the area.
The bed cover had white stains on it. The bathroom sink was clogged with hair. There was no hot water in the shower. The shower head was installed so high, and it was not adjustable. The TV did not work. The front desk staff was away for most of the time. We could hear the people in the room next to us. It was not a pleasant stay!
There were no bath towels in our room, and no one on prem. to correct the error, making it impossible to shower at the hotel after arrival. For reference, we arrived at 8:29pm. Cute rooms otherwise, but an overall mediocre guest experience due to sloppy and thoughtless property management practices.
Refill an empty body wash bottle didn’t happen after asking two times.

great balcony view from mountain view room. clean comfy bed. fridge had to be swapped out after discovering it to be filled with moldy food. bathroom shower is small and awkward but gets the job done, toilet flush doesn’t work without removing the lid. coffee, hot tea, coco offered in lobby, keurig in room. no room/maid service, but able to get more towels etc as needed. cozy stay in the mountains! 20 mins to oakhurst, 20 mins to yosemite.
The room was clean . A little small but the bathroom modern and big. Having a restaurant to dine in the evening is a plus as there are not a lot of options around

We have stayed in a number of hotels when touring California. This is a 3 star with the basic set of amenites in the room. Reception was prompt and we were allocated a ground floor room. It was clean and had a reasonable bed. The shower was quite low pressure and there needs to be some more storage space. Free Parking is right out side the room. The roof leaked during rain in the night and the tap on the basin dripped continuously. There is no breakfast arrangements in this hotel, but it does offer a good dinner on limited nights. The hotel is next to a busy road and we were occasionally woken up by noise outside. We think it is a bit overprised for the quality at $200 per night.
The location to the train depot was the selling point for our getaway. The room was spacious enough for four adults with a nice forest view balcony. There's no light so make sure you bring a small lamp to enjoy the balcony at night. The drive to Yosemite is about a 45 minute drive of beauty!!
Beautiful room with classic furniture and a lovely balcony. The inn is/had obviously been loved by someone who put a lot of effort into details. We were welcomed with coffee and other comforts. The room was comfortable. The gift shop was cute.
Only issue was the loud fan on the AC/heater, which woke me up a couple of times when it turned on through the night.

Pros: The location is great if going to the park. The rooms are cozy and clean. Restaurant/bar is open for dinner and was reasonably good.
Cons: No real breakfast options at the inn and not much in town. Front desk doesn’t open until 8 AM. No housekeeping service at all. No common areas to hang out or do things other than the pool; which is open in the summer months only. It really should be labeled as a motel.
Very disappointed with this property. Room was nothing like what was on the website. Room was like a VERY old hunting cabin and smelled the same. Bed was so old you could feel the concave of many, many years of use. Severely overdue for an update. Only positive thing I can say is it was 7 min. from park entrance
I loved the stay. The place was clean, the staff was super friendly. Super fast and easy check in and out. The location was great.
Also the lobster spinach dip from their restaurant was so yummy!
