"Breakfast was ok although staff spoke very little english. Ended up getting a full scottish breakfast when that wasnt what was ordered.
Rooms were roasting hot and wouldnt turn down/ off. Rooms were good size but werent the cleanest or in the best of condition.
Views are great and were the best part of the stay"
"The Stonefield Castle hotel has a peaceful, charming & relaxing feel. We have stayed many times. It's set in a beautiful location with fabulous views to loch Fyne & surrounded by mature gardens with lots of period charm. The staff are friendly, welcoming & attentive. The rooms are clean, tastefully decorated to mirror the hotel's family history & era.
The breakfast is excellent made with top local quality produce.
The bar is well stocked with a great choice for all tastes especially whiskies.
There are bars & restaurants in the town only a short drive away wirh an efficient local taxi service. The town has a warm friendly feel with lots to explore.
Love the drive to Tarbert and our stay at the hotel. You will not be disappointed.

"The Island Bear is very conveniently located in the cneter of Islay, a block away from ameneties, and the revered Bowmore distillery. The propert is nice, clean and lovingly mainted by the couple who also live there and are very helpful. Dunca (the owner) prepared deliciious Scotish breakfast every morning and was a reservoir of Islay knowledge. He knows every body on the Island, and everyone knows him fondly. I had great discussion with Duncan at breakfast every morning, and it was a highlight of my trip. Thank you for your hospitality."
"We had an amazing stay at the Crinan hotel. The views are spectacular and the food is delicious. I would say that the hotel is a little old but that is part of its charm."
"Lovely clean dog friendly room.
Would benefit from some details on the resort ie dog walks or local attractions.
The hotel is remote, we had planned to get there by the ferry but this was not running and had to drive, not the best roads as not a single track fan.
We would stay again "
